February 1955, the following special resolution was duly
passed:
‘‘That the company be wound up voluntarily.’’

KAIKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Streets Improvement Loan 1954, £28,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and amend-
ments thereto, the Kaikohe Borough Council hereby resolves
as follows:
‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of twenty-eight thousand pounds (£28,000),
authorized to be raised by the Kaikohe Borough Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying
out improvements to streets and footpaths in various areas
of the Borough of Kaikohe, the said Kaikohe Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of two and three-eighth
pence (2¾d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rate-
able property of the Kaikohe Borough District; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st
day of February and the 1st day of August in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
passed at a meeting of the Kaikohe Borough Council held on
the 22nd day of February 1955.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and of the
Counties Act 1920
NOTICE is hereby given under the provisions of the Public
Works Act 1928 that the Rotorua County Council pro-
poses, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to
take the pieces of land described in the First Schedule hereto
for the purpose of a public road, and to close the piece of
road described in the Second Schedule hereto, and to apply
for an Order in Council consenting to the taking of the said
pieces of land and the closing of the said piece of road; and
notice is hereby further given that a plan of the pieces of
land so required to be taken and the piece of road so required
to be closed is deposited in the Public Office of the County
Clerk to the said Council, situate in Ranolf Street, Rotorua,
and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons dur-
ing ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the taking of such pieces of land
and/or the closing of such piece of road who have any well-
grounded objections to the taking of the said pieces of land
and/or the closing of the said piece of road must state their
objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days
from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk,
at the Council Chambers, Ranolf Street, Rotorua.
