Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block IV, Otanewainuku Survey District, for Better Utilization
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for better utilization; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Tauranga and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 acre 1 rood 24 perches.
Being Lot 31, D.P. 7603, being part Ohauiti No. 2 and parts Waitaha No. 2 Blocks.
Situated in Block IV, Otanewainuku Survey District, Auckland R.D.
In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145793 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land
PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 7th day of March 1955.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared Crown land: 17 acres 3 roods 21·4 perches.
Situated in Block XI, Port Nicholson Survey District, and being the whole of the land in a Proclamation published in New Zealand Gazette, 19 March 1896, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as No. 155.

Agreement for Grant of Easement (Right of Way) in Favour of Mary Hargreaves, of Nelson, Widow, Over Land in the City of Nelson, Set Apart for a Police Station, Assented to
WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 17th day of November 1939 and published in the Gazette of 23 November 1939, No. 140, page 3124, all that piece of land containing 3·33 perches, being part Section 180, City of Nelson, was taken for the purposes of a police station:
And whereas Mary Hargreaves, of Nelson, Widow, is entitled to compensation in respect of her freehold interest in the said land:
And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the said Mary Hargreaves a right of way over the land described in the Schedule hereto in part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:
And whereas the said Mary Hargreaves has agreed to accept such grant of easement (right of way) in part satisfaction of the said compensation:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land affected: 2·1 perches.
Being part Section 178, City of Nelson, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 94, folio 185, Nelson Land Registry.

Cambridge Co-op. Dairy Co. Ltd., Fencourt, via Cambridge, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from one pump to be installed on dairy-factory premises at Fencourt, sales to be restricted to suppliers of the company.
E. T. Swetnam, Ngahere Hotel, Ngahere, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from one pump to be installed at Ngahere Hotel, Ngahere.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 17 March 1955, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. NEW ZEALAND—NORTH ISLAND—GISBORNE ROADS
Position of Buoy Altered and Depth Amended
Position: Breakwater Light 38° 40·7′ S., 178° 01·3′ E. (approx.). The black buoy 225° 3648 ft. from the above position has been removed and placed in a position 223° 2650 ft. (38° 41′ 02″ S., 178° 00′ 55″ E. approx.) from the Breakwater Light. A depth of 17 ft. is to be inserted in position close north north west from the new position of the black buoy.
