SCHEDULE
CABLE for the supply of electrical energy by the system of
supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the generat-
ing room in the Christchurch Press Company, Limited’s,
building, Cathedral Square, in the City of Christchurch, and
proceeding in a south-easterly direction generally through the
said building, thence through the licensee’s building, along
a light-well and a right-of-way to the main switchboard
situated on the ground floor of the licensee’s building.
The said cable being more particularly shown by means
of a red line on the plan marked S.H.D. 275, deposited in
the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

THE HON. W. SULLIVAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, His Excel-
lency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs that the
District Valuation Rolls for the districts enumerated in the
Schedule hereto shall be revised by the Valuer-General as at
the 31st day of January 1954.
SCHEDULE
Boroughs: Balclutha, Gisborne, Glen Eden, Greytown,
Hampden, Kaitangata, Martinborough, Milton, Morrinsville,
Naseby, Onehunga, Palmerston, Port Chalmers, South Inver-
cargill, Taradale, Te Awamutu, Te Puke, Waikouaiti, West
Harbour.
Cities: Invercargill, Napier, Palmerston North.
Counties: Castlepoint, Cheviot, Eketaluna, Kaikoura,
Kairanga, Makara, Matamata, Mauriceville, Otamatea, Bangi-

PURSUANT to the discretion conferred upon him by subsection
(2) of section 9, Valuation of Land Act 1951, the Valuer-
General intends to exercise the authority conferred by the fore-
going Order in Council so far as it relates to those districts
named in the first column of the Schedule hereto by revising
only those properties on the district valuation rolls of the said
districts which lie within the portions described in the second
column of the said Schedule.

PURSUANT to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, His Excel-
lency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs
that the revision of the District Valuation Roll for Wellington
City, except that portion thereof which relates to the former
Johnsonville Town District and those portions of Makara
County added pursuant to an Order in Council dated the
28th day of January 1953, shall be postponed, and that such
revision shall thereupon be made not later than the 31st day
of March 1955.

PURSUANT to the Howard Estate Act 1919, His Excel-
lency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the
following order.
ORDER
-
This order may be cited as the Smedley Boys’ Training
Farm Approval Order 1946, Amendment No. 2, and shall be
read together with and deemed part of the Smedley Boys’
Training Farm Approval Order 1946* (hereinafter referred to
as the principal order). -
Clause 4 of the Schedule to the principal order, as
amended by clause 2 of the Smedley Boys’ Training Farm
Approval Order 1946, Amendment No. 1†, is hereby further
amended—
(a) By omitting the words “‘the sum of £6,000’”, and
substituting the words “‘the sum of £10,000’”;
(b) By adding the following proviso:
“‘Provided that, with the prior approval in
writing of the Minister, a sum in excess of £10,000
may be paid out of such revenues in any financial
year if the amount of the excess is payable in
respect of capital expenditure.’”

General of New Zealand, hereby appoint
Reginald Vincent Kay, Esquire,
to be Judge of the High Court of the Cook Islands and
Judge of the Native Land Court of the Cook Islands on
and from the 9th day of January 1954.
