RESULT OF POLL—BUCKLANDS AND EASTERN BEACHES COUNTY TOWN
I HEREBY give notice that at the poll of ratepayers taken on Saturday, the 11th day of December 1954, under section 40 of the Rating Act 1925, the Counties Amendment Act 1952, and the Local Elections and Polls Act 1953, on a proposal to adopt the system of rating on unimproved value in the Bucklands and Eastern Beaches County Town, the number of votes recorded was as follows:

Against unimproved value ..... 148
Informal ..... 10
Pursuant to section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, I therefore declare the proposal to adopt the system of rating on the unimproved value within the said Bucklands and Eastern Beaches County Town to be carried.

MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Property Purchase Loan 1954, £20,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000), authorized to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing certain land and buildings, converting into flats, and carrying on flood damage repairs and protective work, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three thirty-seconds (3/32d.) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the said borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'
Certified to be a true copy of a resolution passed at the ordinary monthly meeting of the Mount Roskill Borough Council held on Tuesday, 7 December 1954.

MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Streets Reconstruction Loan 1954, £54,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £54,000, authorized to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for removal of tram rails and then reconstructing Dominion and Three Kings Roads and reconstruction of Dominion Road Extension from Mount Albert Road to Richardson Road, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seventeen sixty-fourths of a penny in the pound (17/64d.) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Mount Roskill; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.'

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928
public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk, at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.

1 rood 12 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 68 on Deposited Plan 10490, being part of Hamlin's Grant, situated in Block VI, Otahuhu Survey District, and part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 413, folio 7, Auckland Registry.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, (namely, provision of a street), and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk, at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP RESOLUTION
In the matter of the Dunedin Stock Exchange Proprietary Limited.
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held at the Board Room of John Reid and Sons, Limited, 5 Liverpool Street, Dunedin, on the 8th day of December 1954, the following resolution was duly passed as a special resolution:
'That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Messrs Henry Stephen Reid and Charles Vincent Bond be and they are hereby appointed liquidators of the company for the purpose of winding-up the affairs and distributing the assets of the company at a fee of £250.'
