Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land
Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 24th day of December 1954.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land: 6.2 perches.
Being Lot 9, D.P. 40769, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 1119, folio 3, Auckland Land Registry.

Notification of Exemption from Renters' Quota Under the Cinematograph Films Act 1928
Pursuant to section 29 of the Cinematograph Films Act 1928, it is hereby notified that exemption has been granted to each of the following named renters in respect of the film-renting season for the year 1953-54 from the provisions of the aforesaid Act, which requires every licensed renter to acquire a stated proportion of Commonwealth films:

Special Order Made by the Hobson County Council Altering Riding Boundaries
Pursuant to section 100 of the Counties Act 1920, as amended by section 3 of the Counties Amendment Act 1921-22, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following Special Order made by the Hobson County Council, and fixes the 12th day of January 1955 as the date on which the said Special Order shall take effect.

SPECIAL ORDER
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Counties Act 1920 and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, the Hobson County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows:
- The present division of the County of Hobson into the twelve ridings called respectively the Kopuru Riding, Aratapu Riding, Kaihu Riding, Waipoua Riding, Tutamoe Riding, Awakino Riding, Tangowahine Riding, Maungaru Riding, Tangiteroria Riding, Omana Riding, Arapohue Riding, and Okahu Riding is revoked, and in lieu thereof the said County shall be divided into twelve ridings to be called respectively the Pouto Riding, Kopuru Riding, Aratapu Riding, Kaihu Riding, Waipoua Riding, Tutamoe Riding, Awakino Riding, Tangowahine Riding, Maungaru Riding, Omana Riding, Arapohue Riding, and Okahu Riding which said ridings are respectively described in the Schedule hereto.
- The said Hobson County Council shall consist of twelve members, each riding to be represented by one member who shall be elected by the electors of that riding.

AWAKINO RIDING

WAIPOUA RIDING
All that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block V, Waipoua Survey District, in the middle of the mouth of the Waipoua River, and running easterly up the middle of that river, being the northern boundary of the County of Hobson as described in the Proclamation published in New Zealand Gazette No. 7 of the 28th day of January 1932, page 149, to the western boundary of Block VIII, Waipoua Survey District; thence southerly generally along that western boundary, to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Section 13, Block VII, Waipoua Survey District, along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of Marlborough Road, and along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 25 of Block VIII aforementioned; thence along a right line to and along that north-eastern boundary, along the western boundaries of Section 31 of the said Block VIII, and Section 25 of Block XI, Waipoua Survey District, and along the western and southern boundaries of Section 26 of the said Block XI, to the middle of the Waima River; thence south-easterly down the middle of that river, and down the middle of the Kaihu River, to and up the middle of the stream forming the southern boundaries of Lots 21 and 20 on D.P. 23704, being parts of Kaihu No. 1 Block, situated in Block XI, Kaihu Survey District, to the middle of the Dargaville-Kaihu Main Highway; thence southerly and then westerly along the middle of the said highway, to and along the middle of Taharoa Road, and along a right line to and along the south-eastern and southern boundaries of Lot 3 on D.P. 33193, being part of Kaihu No. 1 Block aforementioned, situated in Blocks IX and X, Kaihu Survey District, to the sea-coast; thence north-westerly along the sea-coast, being part of the western boundary of the Hobson County aforementioned, to the point of commencement.
TUTAMOE RIDING
All that area in the North Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Block IV, Waipoua Survey District, and running easterly and then southerly along the generally northern boundary of the County of Hobson hereinbefore mentioned, to and along the western boundaries of Blocks XI and XV, Tutamoe Survey District, to the northern boundary of Section 8 of the said Block XV; thence again easterly along the southern boundary of the area of 1,371 acres and 3 roods, more or less, set apart as permanent State forest by Proclamation published in New Zealand Gazette No. 44 of the 23rd day of May 1940, page 1126, and along the south-western boundary of Section 24 of Block XVI, Tutamoe Survey District, to the north-western corner of Section 18 of the said Block XVI; thence southerly generally along the western boundaries of the said Section 18, of Section 6 of the said Block XVI, and of Section 30 of Block IV, Kaihu Survey District, along the north-western boundary of Section 12 of the said Block IV and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across a public road and the Awakino River to the middle of the public road forming the northern boundary of Section 17 of the said Block IV; thence westerly generally along the middle of that road, and the middle of the public road forming the northern boundary of Section 16 of the said Block IV, to a point in line with the south-western boundary of the said Section 16; thence again southerly generally along the south-western boundaries of Section 16 aforesaid, and of Sections 18 and 28 of the aforesaid Block IV, to and along the north-western boundaries of Section 23s, Waimata Settlement, and of Lots 2 and 1 on D.P. 28942, being parts of Section 6s of the said settlement, and along a right line across a public road, to and along the north-western boundaries of Sections 10s, 17s, again 10s and 14s, all of Waimata Settlement aforementioned, to the western corner of the said Section 14s; thence along the south-western boundaries of the last-mentioned section and of Section 18s of the said settlement, the western boundaries of Waimata Nos. 1B 4 and 1B 5 Blocks, and Lot 7 on D.P. 20132, being part of Waimata No. 2 Block, the northern boundary of part of Kaihu No. 2B Block shown on D.P. 24962, along a right line across a public road to and along the northern and western boundaries of Lot 29 on D.P. 10667, being part of the said Kaihu No. 2B Block, and along
