INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Invercargill City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the loans shown hereunder, authorized by the ratepayers to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for carrying out the works enumerated on the respective ballot papers, the said Council hereby makes and levies the several special rates shown hereunder, each being levied on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that each such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the particular loan in respect of which it is levied and be payable on the 1st day of May for the Amalgamated Area Street Works and Services Loan, fourth issue £45,000, 1954, and on the 1st day of March for the Transport Loan, fourth issue £30,000, 1954, in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Transport Loan 1949, £140,000, fourth issue of £30,000, 1954 Decimal one five three pence (0·153d.) in the pound.
Amalgamated Area Street Works and Services Loan 1949, £87,000, fourth issue of £45,000, 1954 Decimal one three six pence (0·136d.) in the pound.

GLEN EDEN BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Fire Engine Loan 1953 (Portion £1,150)
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Glen Eden Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,150 (being portion of £1,540), authorized to be raised by the Glen Eden Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for purchase of fire engine, the said Glen Eden Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third pence (⅓d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Glen Eden; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
