Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1936

PURSUANT to clause (26), regulation 7, and clause (10) of regulation 16 of the Traffic Regulations 1936, the Minister of Transport hereby approves for the purposes of the said regulations red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

RED reflectors manufactured by Tudor Accessories Ltd., England, having 1½in. diameter lenses marked “NPL 176”. Dated at Wellington this 29th day of November 1954.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Cycles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1936

PURSUANT to clause 10 of regulation 16 of the Traffic Regulations 1936, the Minister of Transport hereby approves for the purposes of the said regulation red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

1½ in. diameter red reflectors manufactured by Joseph Lucas Limited, Birmingham, and being marked “Lucas N.P.L. 176 England”. “Scotchlite” wide angle flat top red reflector tape 1 in. wide and a minimum of 5 in. in length. Red reflectors manufactured by Remax Ltd., London, having 1½ in. diameter lenses marked “Remax”. Dated at Wellington this 25th day of November 1954.

Approval of Stop Lights for Motor Vehicles

PURSUANT to regulation 10 (6) of the Traffic Regulations 1936, the Minister of Transport hereby approves, for use on motor vehicles in terms of regulation 15 (2) (b) of the said regulations, automatic signalling apparatus of the type specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

AUTOMATIC signalling apparatus comprising one or two stop lights, red in colour, and having a power of not less than 15 watts. If only one stop light is attached it shall be attached at the longitudinal centre line or at the offside of the vehicle; and if two stop lights are attached they shall be attached one at the offside and the other at the near side of the vehicle.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block X, Okaka Survey District, for Sand Dune Reclamation

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, to wit, sand dune reclamation, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Helensville and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 60 acres.

Being part western portion Allotment 11, Parish of Waioneke.

Situated in Block X, Okaka Survey District, Auckland R.D. (S.O. 38265.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145156 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

As witness my hand at Wellington this 25th day of November 1954.

Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 6th day of December 1954.
