Appointing the Hobson County Council to Control and Manage a Reserve
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints the Hobson County Council to control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a public hall site.

Revocation of Appointment and Appointment of Transport Licensing Authority for No. 6 Transport District
PURSUANT to section 87 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes as from the 25th day of November 1954 the appointment of Thomas Terpleton Murray as the District Licensing Authority for the No. 6 Transport District made by Warrant dated the 10th day of September 1953,* and hereby appoints Frederick Parsons as District Licensing Authority for the No. 6 Transport District for a term commencing on the 25th day of November 1954 and expiring on the 31st day of January 1955.

Scheme of Control of Kaitaia College
PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby approves of Kaitaia College being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools published at page 3151 of Volume III of the New Zealand Gazette of the year 1928:
Provided that—
(a) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if clauses 7, 8, and 9 were revoked;
(b) Clause 11 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “Such election shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1929” were omitted, and the words “the first such election shall be held on a date to be fixed by the Auckland Education Board, and subsequent elections shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1957” were substituted therefor;
(c) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if the additional clause set out in the Schedule hereto were inserted after clause 13;
(d) Clause 16 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “or Borough Council” were omitted, and the words “or elected by the School Committee” were substituted therefor;
(e) Clause 19 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if every reference to the year 1929 were a reference to the year 1957;
(f) Clause 43 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “The Secretary shall be insured under a fidelity bond for a sum of not less than five hundred pounds” were omitted.
SCHEDULE
ADDITIONAL CLAUSE
“13A. In the case of the member to be elected by the members of the school committees of schools in accordance with paragraph (e) of clause 2 of the Kaitaia College Board of Governors Order 1954, the election shall, subject to the necessary modifications, be conducted in the same manner as an election of a member by the parents of the pupils attending the school.”
