Dr Denis James Acheson, M.B., Ch.B., entered on a short-service commission in the rank of Probationary Surgeon Lieutenant with seniority of 11 June 1952, and appointed H.M.N.Z.S. Philomel, additional, to date 14 June 1954 and H.M.N.Z.S. Philomel, additional, for passage to New Zealand, to date 16 June 1954.

Brigadier R. C. Queree, C.B.E., D.S.O., relinquishes the appointment of Commander, Central Military District, and is posted for duty to Army Headquarters. Dated 17 November 1954.
