TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Takapuna Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work (namely, a public reserve), and for the purpose of such public work the reversionary interest in the lands described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land in respect of which such interest is so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk, at the Council Chambers, Takapuna, and it is open for public inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such interest in the said lands who have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said interest must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Takapuna.
SCHEDULE
THE reversionary interest in, firstly, 2 acres, more or less, being Lot 7 and part Lot 8 of Section 8 of a subdivision of Allotments 79, and others, Parish of Takapuna, as the same is shown on D.P. No. 1128, and being the whole of the land in certificate of title, Volume 67, folio 169, Auckland Registry; and, secondly, 4 acres 28 perches, more or less; being Lots 2 and 3 on D.P. No. 1558, being portion of the said Allotment 79 of the said parish, and being the whole of the land in certificate of title, Volume 80, folio 176, Auckland Registry; subject in respect of both pieces of land to an unregistered deed of lease dated the 3rd day of February 1943 for a term of twenty-one years from the 4th day of December 1942 to the Auckland City Council.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN BLOCK XVI OF THE CHRISTCHURCH SURVEY DISTRICT FOR PURPOSES OF A PUBLIC ROAD
In the matter of the Counties Act 1920 and the Public Works Act 1928, and their respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a public road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Heathcote County Council, 178 Manchester Street, Christchurch C.1, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Heathcote County Council, at 178 Manchester Street, Christchurch C. 1.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1.6 perch, being part Section 17, Pawaho Hamlet, situated in Block XVI of the Christchurch Survey District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 8693 deposited in the Lands and Survey Department at Christchurch, and thereon coloured blue.

PUTARURU BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Housing Supplementary Loan 1954, £1,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Putaruru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
'That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds, authorized to be raised by the Putaruru Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Housing Loan 1952 (£10,000) was raised, the said Putaruru Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nought five pence (0.05d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Putaruru comprising the whole of the Borough of
Putaruru; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'
