A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
LAND PROCLAIMED AS ROAD

All in the Taranaki Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145025 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto is hereby closed for defence purposes.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 10 acres 1 rood 3-4 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 57 and 58, part Section 59, and Lot 2, D.P. 4423, being part Section 63. Situated in Block XV, Rangitoto Survey District. (S.O. 25195.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 144250 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Conferring on Buller County Council Certain Powers of Borough Councils With Respect to Water Supply

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section 182 of the Counties Act 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby confers on the Buller County Council all the powers with respect to the supply of water for domestic or industrial purposes exercisable by a duly constituted Borough Council under sections 82 to 84, 86 to 88, Part XX (with the exception of sections 251, 253, and 254), and section 346 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, and also section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1938.

Authorizing the Depreciation Fund Commissioners of the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board to Invest Moneys in Certain Local Body Securities

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act 1927 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the investment by the Depreciation Fund Commissioners of the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board in debentures of (a) the Hastings Borough Council, bearing interest at 4 per cent and maturing on the 15th day of October 1963, of the sum of one thousand seven hundred pounds (£1,700); (b) the Tauranga Electric Power Board, bearing interest at 4 per cent and maturing on the 26th day of January 1964, of the sum of eight thousand six hundred pounds (£8,600); and (c) the Tauranga Electric Power Board, bearing interest at 4 per cent and maturing on the 1st day of January 1965, of the sum of one hundred pounds (£100); the said sums having been received in terms of section 22 of the said Act by the said Commissioners.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the assignment to Alexander Edgar Allan, of Peel Forest, Sheep Farmer, by George Leidge Kirkpatrick, of Christchurch, Refrigeration Engineer, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the 15th day of March 1939, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 23rd day of the same month at page 707, authorizing Wyndham Ewen Barker, of Mount Harper, Rink-owner, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order in Council having been previously assigned by the said Wyndham Ewen Barker to the Mount Harper Ice Skating Club (Incorporated) and by the said Mount Harper Ice Skating Club (Incorporated) to the said George Leidge Kirkpatrick.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Oakwood Avenue in the City of Dunedin, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section 15 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1953 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Dunedin City Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for parts of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 42 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 144763, referred to in the said Schedule, within a distance of 36 ft. from the centre line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
That proposed street in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 19 perches, more or less, being part Lots 3 and 4 and part Lot 2, D.P. 5390, and part Lot 69, D.P. 2402, being part Sections 60 and 61, Block VI, Town District.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 144763 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
