Authorizing the Laying-off of Hall Road (Extension) and Knox Road in the Borough of Manurewa, Subject to Conditions as to the Building Lines

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 11th day of November 1954
Present:
THE HON. W. J. BROADFOOT PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 15 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1953 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Manurewa Borough Council to lay-off and to permit the laying-off of the proposed street first described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., and of the proposed street secondly described in the said Schedule at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 45 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on that part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 888, folio 130, Auckland Land Registry, shown as Lots 2, 3, and 4 on the plan marked P.W.D. 145002 referred to in the said Schedule, or on that part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 885, folio 224, Auckland Land Registry, shown as Lots 1 to 9 (both inclusive) and Lots 16 to 21 (both inclusive) on the said plan within a distance of 38 ft. from the centre lines of the said streets first and secondly described in the said Schedule, and subject further to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on that part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 885, folio 224, Auckland Land Registry, shown as Lots 22 and 23 on the said plan, or on that part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 512, folio 67, Auckland Land Registry, shown as Lots 2 to 8 (both inclusive) on the said plan within a distance of 43 ft. from the centre line of the said street first described in the said Schedule, and subject further to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on that part of the land shown edged green on the said plan fronting the southern side of the said street first described in the said Schedule within a distance of 45 ft. from the centre line of the said street first described in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Manurewa, being an extension of Hall Road, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 10 perches, more or less, being part Clendon’s Grant.
Also that proposed street in the said Land District and Borough, to be known as Knox Road, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 6 perches, more or less, being part Clendon’s Grant.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145002 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

THE HON. C. M. BOWDEN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Ruaka and Ngati Hine Sub-tribes as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a recreation ground and sports ground.

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto, being European land owned by Maoris, for the common use and benefit of the owners thereof as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a village site, meeting place, and church site.
