Declaring Lands in Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, and Otago Land Districts Vested in the Hawke’s Bay, Wanganui, and Otago Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time by Proclamation declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and thereupon the school site or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the First and Second Schedules hereto, being areas vested in the Hawke’s Bay Education Board, the land described in the Third Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wanganui Education Board, and the land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.
FIRST SCHEDULE
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 1, Block XII, Tolaga Bay Township, situated in Block XII, Uawa Survey District: Area, 1 acre and 13 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 34, folio 11. (S.O. Plan 248B.)
Also Section 10, Block XII, Tolaga Bay Township, situated in Block XII, Uawa Survey District: Area, 3 acres 3 roods 12 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 248B.)
