PURSUANT to section 30 of the Maori Trustee Act 1953, the Maori Trustee hereby gives notice that a list of unclaimed moneys dated the 29th day of October 1954, derived from the Tokerau Maori Land Court District, and held by him, has been filed in the office of the Registrar of the Maori Land Court at
Auckland,
Rotorua,
Gisborne,
Wanganui, and
Wellington,
where the same may be inspected during office hours without payment of fee.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan
PURSUANT to the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the following notice received by the Minister of Finance from the Mayor of the Borough of Whakatane is hereby published.

WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 13 (1) of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Whakatane, taken on the 22nd day of October 1954, on the proposal of the Whakatane Borough Council to borrow the sum of one hundred and sixty-two thousand pounds (£162,000) for the purpose of providing sewerage reticulation for the Borough of Whakatane and meeting the cost of pumping stations, general sewerage plant and equipment, engineering fees, and contingencies.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 201. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 54. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Loan
Loan No. 5, 1954, of £485,000
I HEREBY give notice, pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Taranaki Harbour District, taken on the 16th day of October 1954, on the proposal of the Taranaki Harbour Board to borrow the sum of four hundred and eighty-five thousand pounds (£485,000) for the demolition of the existing Moturoa Wharf and the construction of a new wharf in its place, including site and approach dredging, improvement of access, and provision of necessary plant and equipment:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 2,301. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 232. Informal 40.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice to Persons Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor Spirit
M. L. Williams, 217A St. Aubyn Street, New Plymouth, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at 217A St. Aubyn Street, New Plymouth.
Kiwi Taxis (Timaru) Ltd., Stafford Street, Timaru, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from one pump already installed on the garage premises of Brown Wood Motors Ltd., Sefton Street, Timaru, sales to be restricted to owner driver members of the company who are shareholders and also to associate members of the company.
Otaki Motors Ltd., Mill Road, Otaki, has applied for permission to change the retail selling point of three pumps approximately 50 ft. to stand together on new service-station premises on the adjoining section at Mill Road, Otaki.
W. D. Spinks, Massey Street, Reporoa, has applied for permission to change the retail selling point of three pumps 180 yds. to new garage and service-station premises in Reporoa.
A. Van Maanen, Hinuera, has applied for permission to change the retail selling point of one pump, 1¼ miles to new garage premises at junction of Bushlands Road and Hamilton-Tauranga Highway.
Wright Stephenson and Co. Ltd., Masterton, has applied for permission to change the retail selling point of two pumps from present site at Chapel Street, Masterton, to stand with one pump already installed at garage premises at Queen Street, Masterton.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 25 November 1954, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
