TAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN BLOCK X OF THE KOWAI SURVEY DISTRICT FOR PURPOSES OF A PUBLIC ROAD
In the matter of the Counties Act 1920 and the Public Works Act 1928 and their respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a public road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post Office at Springfield and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Tawera County Council, at the office of its Clerk, at 96 Hereford Street, Christchurch.

Situated in Block X of the Kowai Survey District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked 8535 deposited in the Lands and Survey Department, at Christchurch, and therein coloured and edged as above mentioned.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF SURNAME
In the matter of a deed poll executed by IRENE SARAH BAILLIE, of Gisborne, Housekeeper.
KNOW all men by these presents (which are intended to be enrolled in the Registry of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Gisborne) that I, IRENE SARAH BAILLIE, of Gisborne, Housekeeper, now lately called IRENE SARAH HACKETT, do hereby, for and on behalf of myself and my children and remoter issue, absolutely renounce and abandon my former surname of HACKETT, and in lieu thereof do assume and adopt the surname of BAILLIE, so that I and my children and remoter issue may henceforth be called and known not by my former name of HACKETT but by my assumed surname of BAILLIE; and for the purpose of evidencing such change I hereby declare that I shall at all times henceforth in all actions and proceedings, dealings and transactions, and upon all occasions use and subscribe the said surname of BAILLIE in lieu of my former surname of HACKETT; and I hereby expressly authorize and request all persons at all times henceforth to designate and address me and my children and remoter issue by my said assumed name of BAILLIE accordingly.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my adopted and substituted name of IRENE SARAH BAILLIE this 18th day of October 1954.

BOROUGH OF OTAHUHU
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, the Otahuhu Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“ That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £32,000, authorized to be raised by the Otahuhu Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting and furnishing Council chambers and municipal offices, the said Otahuhu Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal seven six pence (0·76d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the rating district comprising the whole of the Borough of Otahuhu; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows :
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loans listed in Column 1 of the undernoted Schedule, which loans the Timaru City Council are authorized to raise under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes shown in Column 6 against the respective loans, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes and levies in respect of each loan the special rates shown in Column 5 (such special rates being expressed as decimal fractions of a penny in the pound) upon the whole amount of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Timaru; and that such special rates shall be annual-recurring rates during the currency of such loans and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the relative loan as stated in Column 4, or until the relative loan is fully paid off.”
