Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution
PURSUANT to section 22 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that the following special resolution was passed by way of an entry in the minute book, signed as provided by subsection (1) of section 300 of the Companies Act 1933, on the 28th day of September 1954:
‘‘1. That the Northern Group of the Association be wound up voluntarily.
‘‘2. That Mr D. M. Edmond, of Hamilton, and Mr W. W. King, of Auckland, be and are hereby appointed joint liquidators of the group.’’
Any objection to this proposal must be submitted in writing to the undersigned within one month from the 21st day of October, being the date of the first publication of this notice.

The Town and Country Planning Act 1953
—
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Ashburton Borough Council at its meeting held on the 4th day of October 1954 has resolved to prepare for the Ashburton Borough a district scheme required pursuant to the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which in his or its opinion should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked ‘‘Ashburton District Scheme’’ should be addressed to the Town Clerk, and delivered at the Municipal Chambers, Havelock Street, Ashburton, on or before the 7th day of January 1955.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Plant and Machinery Loan 1954, £10,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Council of the Borough of Blenheim doth hereby resolve as follows:
‘‘That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000), authorized to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing plant and machinery, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and eight-five thousandths of one penny (0·285d.) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and payable half-yearly on the 1st day of May and the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of eight years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the above loan.’’
I hereby certify that the above resolution, which is in amendment and substitution of the resolution as published in New Zealand Gazette No. 49 of 12 August 1954, page 1317, was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 5th day of October 1954.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Loan 1953, £100,000 (£15,000 Portion)
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Council of the Borough of Blenheim doth hereby resolve as follows:
‘‘That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000), authorized to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of renewing the spiral steel mains of the Borough water-supply reticulation system and for providing for works and expenses incidental thereto, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nineteen one-hundredths of a penny (0·19d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the special rating area of the Borough, being the Borough of Blenheim as existed prior to extension of its boundaries on 1 April 1952; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the above loan.’’
I hereby certify that the above resolution, which is in amendment and substitution of the resolution as published in New Zealand Gazette No. 49 of 12 August 1954, page 1316, was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 5th day of October 1954.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Point Howard Fire Station Supplementary Loan 1954, £280
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:
‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £280, authorized to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purposes for which the Point Howard Fire Station Loan 1952, £2,800, was raised, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three one-hundredths of a penny (3⁄100d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Eastern Bays Riding of the County of Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’
We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Hutt County Council held at Wellington on the 14th day of October 1954.
