Notice of Licensing Poll (Proposals for National Continuance, National Prohibition, or State Purchase and Control), and of Time and Place for Selection of Fit Persons to Appoint Scrutineers Therefor
IN pursuance of the Licensing Act 1908 and the amendments thereto, I, Edward Leslie Adams, Returning Officer for the Eastern Maori Electoral District, do hereby give notice that on the 13th day of November 1954, the day appointed for taking the Electoral Poll for the above Electoral District, simultaneously therewith a Licensing Poll will be taken upon the following proposals:
National Continuance.
State Purchase and Control.
National Prohibition.
Nominations of persons to appoint scrutineers in accordance with the Licensing Act 1908 and the amendments thereto in respect of each of the said proposals must be lodged with me not later than noon on the 29th day of October 1954. And I hereby give notice that I shall, on the 4th day of November 1954, at the hour of 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at my office in the Land and Deeds Office, Gisborne, publicly consider all nomination papers of persons to appoint scrutineers which have been duly lodged in respect of the said Licensing Poll. Citrus Canker Regulations 1952-Revocation of Declaration of Infected Area (Notice No. Ag. 5754)
PURSUANT to regulation 7 of the Citrus Canker Regulations 1952, the declarations of the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto as infected areas under the said regulations, made on the 18th, 19th, and 30th days of September 1952, are hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE FIRST, all that area of land containing 1 rood 5·7 perches, being Lot IV, D.P. 4709, part Section A, Town Belt, New Plymouth, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 115, folio 68. Secondly, all that area of land containing 28·97 perches, being part Section B, Fitzroy District, Block IV, Paritutu Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 150, folio 112. Thirdly, all that area of land containing 27·2 perches, being part of New Plymouth Town Belt, Lot 9 of subdivision of Deeds Plan 21, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 123, folio 224. Fourthly, all that area of land containing 2 roods 4·6 perches, being Lot 77, part Section 181, Patea Survey District, Block VI, Hawera Extension Township No. 1, D.P. 2592, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 65, folio 1.
