Land Taken for Road in Blocks IX and XII, Opunake Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 11th day of October 1954.

Defining the Middle Line of a Portion of the Wellington-Foxton Motorway in Blocks V and VII, Belmont Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1947, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of a motorway desired to be constructed in Blocks V and VII, Belmont Survey District (viz., a portion of the Wellington-Foxton Motorway), shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within the limits shown edged red on the plan marked P.W.D. 144470 referred to in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

Commencing at a point marked 3 miles 42 chains on the P.W.D. Plan No. 144470 hereinafter referred to, being 2 chains north of a point marked 3 miles 40 chains on Plan P.W.D. 122329 of a middle line of a portion of the Wellington-Foxton Motorway defined in a Proclamation dated 24 November 1950 and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 72 of 30 November 1950, at page 2032, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 2 miles 0·5 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, etc. (viz.: Sections 37, 39, 40, and 42, Porirua District; Lots 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, D.P. 1975, being parts Section 44, Porirua District; other part of Section 44, Porirua District; Sections 46 and 48, Porirua District (all situated in Block VII, Belmont Survey District); Lot 126, D.P. 14282, being part Section 50, Porirua District, South Street, Borough of Tawa Flat; Lots 148, 147, 146, 145, and 133, D.P. 14282, being parts Section 50, Porirua District, Mahoe Street, Borough of Tawa Flat; Lots 69, 68, 66, D.P. 14282, being parts Section 50, Porirua District, Matai Street, Borough of Tawa Flat; Lots 34, 33, 30, 29, 26, and 28, D.P. 14282, being parts Section 50, Porirua District, Raroa Terrace, Borough of Tawa Flat; part land in D.P. 9284, being part Section 51, Porirua District, Collins Avenue and Tremewan Street, Borough of Tawa Flat; Lot 167, D.P. 9069, being part Section 51, Porirua District, Tremewan Street, Borough of Tawa Flat; Lots 179, 178, 177, 176, D.P. 9069, being parts Section 51, Porirua District; Lots 175 and 174, D.P. 9069, being part Sections 51 and 53, Porirua District, Lots 173, 172, 171, 170, 169, 168, 351, D.P. 9069, being part Section 53, Porirua District; part Lot 3, D.P. 2985, being part Section 53, Porirua District (all situated in Block V, Belmont Survey District)), and terminating at the point marked 5 miles 42·5 chains on the plan marked P.W.D. 144470 hereinafter referred to, being the point of commencement marked 5 miles 41 chains on Plan P.W.D. 140042 on a middle line of a portion of the Wellington-Foxton Motorway defined in a Proclamation dated 7 May 1953 and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 27 of 14 May 1953, at pages 739 and 740, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and water courses.

All in the Wellington Land District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 144470 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
