At the Government House at Wellington this 29th day of
September 1954

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 6 of the Housing Amendment Act
1940, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby orders and declares that the access way described in
the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this
Order in Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens
of the City of Auckland, and be under the control and
management of the Auckland City Council.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the access way dealt with: 11·5 perches.
Being Lot 49, D.P. 41107, and being part of the land
comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 902,
flio 253, Auckland Land Registry.
Situated in the City of Auckland.

Declaring Huiarangi Road in the Hawke’s Bay County to be
County Road

At the Government House at Wellington this 29th day of
September 1954

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
orders and declares that the portion of road described in the
Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order
in Council, become county road.

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District,
Hawke’s Bay County, situated in Blocks IV, VII, and VIII,
Patoka Survey District, known as the Huiarangi Road, com-
mencing at the south-western corner of Section 13, Block IV,
Patoka Survey District, being the junction with the Hendley
Road; thence proceeding in a south-easterly direction generally
for a distance of 5 miles 10 chains measured along the middle
of the road.

Also all that portion of road situated in Blocks IV and
VIII, Patoka Survey District, commencing at a point on the
south-western boundary of Section 15, Block IV, Patoka
Survey District, approximately 7 chains east of its western-
most corner; thence proceeding in a south-westerly direction
generally for a distance of 30 chains measured along the
middle of the road and terminating at its intersection with
the Huiarangi Road. As the same are more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 144494 deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.

Declaring the Erinore Farm Settlement Road in the Hawke’s
Bay County to be County Road

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders
and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
become county road.

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District,
Hawke’s Bay County, known as the Erinore Farm Settlement
Road, commencing from a point on the Pohokura-Tutira
Road at the south-eastern corner of Section 29, Block VIII,
Maungaharuru Survey District; thence proceeding generally
south-westerly for a distance of 1 mile 65 chains measured
along the centre line of the road to its termination at a
point on the northern boundary of Section 14, Block XI,
Maungaharuru Survey District. As the same is more particu-
larly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 144490 deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and
thereon coloured red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale
of the land described in the Schedule hereto, the land being
no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold:
2 acres.
Being Section 3869, Block I, Waiwhero Survey District
and being formerly the whole of the land comprised and
described in Register Book, Volume 42, folio 192, Westland
Land Registry.

Revoking a Licence Authorizing Henry Norman Adamson, of

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order
in Council dated the 26th day of March 1941 and published
in the New Zealand Gazette on the 3rd day of April 1941,
at page 805, authorizing Henry Norman Adamson, of
Wataroa, Farmer, to use water for the purpose of generating
electricity and to erect certain electric lines.

Constituting Te Anau Secondary Urban Fire District

At the Government House at Wellington this 29th day of
September 1954

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 18 of the Fire Services
Act 1949, the Wallace County Council requested that
the urban area of Te Anau be constituted a secondary urban
fire district:

And whereas, pursuant to the said section 18, the Fire
Service Council has certified that the appropriate standards
for a secondary urban fire district have been complied with in
respect of the said area:

And whereas, pursuant to the said section 18, the request
has been referred to the Local Government Commission:

And whereas, pursuant to the Local Government Commis-
sion Act 1953, the Local Government Commission has
recommended that action be taken under the Fire Services
Act 1949 to constitute the said area a secondary urban fire
district:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 18 of the Fire
Services Act 1949, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby declares the urban area of Te Anau to be a
secondary urban fire district by the name of the Te Anau
Secondary Urban Fire District.
