HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 15 of the Municipal Corporations
Amendment Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Mount Roskill
Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed
street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part
of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft.

SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District,
Borough of Mount Roskill, containing by admeasurement
19.6 perches, more or less, being Lot 5, D.P. 37715, part Lot 7,
D.P. 38811, and part Allotment 90, Titirangi Parish.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 144422 deposited in the office of the Minister

Declaring Hautope Road in the Patangata County to be
County Road

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders
and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
become county road.

SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road in the Hawke's Bay Land District,
Patangata County, known as Hautope Road, commencing at
a point on the southern boundary of Section 2, Block X, Oero
Survey District, being the end of the present county road;
thence proceeding generally south-easterly for a distance of
1 mile 70 chains measured along the centre-line of the road
to its termination at the north-western corner of Section 2,
Block XIV, Oero Survey District. As the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 144416
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured red.

Varying the Determinations in Respect of the Balance (Β£3,000)
of the Hastings Borough Council's Loan of Β£74,300

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 15th day of
September 1954
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 9th day of
October 1946 (hereinafter called the said Order in
Council), and subject to the determinations as to borrowing
and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the
raising in New Zealand by the Hastings Borough Council
(hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of
seventy-four thousand three hundred pounds, to be known as
General Purposes Loan 1946 (hereinafter called the said
loan);
And whereas portion of the said loan amounting to three
thousand pounds (hereinafter called the said sum) has not yet
been raised, and it is expedient to vary certain of the
determinations aforesaid in respect of the said sum:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 11 of the Local
Government Loans Board Act 1926, as set out in section 29
of the Finance Act 1932 (No. 2), His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, hereby varies the determinations aforesaid
in respect of the said sum by prescribing as follows:

  1. In lieu of a term of twenty-five years, as specified in
    clause 1 of the said Order in Council, the term for which the
    said sum or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed
    fifteen years.
  2. In lieu of a rate of interest not exceeding three pounds
    five shillings per cent per annum, as specified in clause 2 of
    the said Order in Council, the rate of interest that may be paid
    in respect of the said sum or any part thereof shall be such
    as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates
    exceeding four per cent per annum.
  3. No money shall be borrowed under the consent given
    by the said Order in Council after the expiration of nine
    years from the date thereof.
