ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of August 1954

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Milk Act 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Board Constitution Order, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Board Constitution Order 1945* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

(2) This order shall have effect for the purpose of the election of the members of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Board next following the making of this order, and for the purpose of every subsequent election of any member or members of the Board.

  1. (1) The principal order is hereby amended by revoking the Schedule, as substituted by the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Board Constitution Order 1945, Amendment No. 1†, and substituting the following Schedule:

Conferring the Powers of a Tribal Executive Upon a Tribal Committee

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 7 of the Maori Purposes Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby confers upon the Waihopai Tribal Committee all the powers conferred upon a Tribal Executive by the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, including the power to make by-laws, notwithstanding the provisions of section 19 or section 20 of that Act.

Prison Appointed at Arorangi, Rarotonga, Cook Islands

PURSUANT to section 44 of the Cook Islands Act 1915, the Minister of Island Territories hereby appoints Tatari Section 88G Arorangi, in the Island of Rarotonga, and the prison building situated thereon, to be a prison for the purposes of the said Act to be known as the Arorangi Prison.
