Notice of Members' Voluntary Winding-up

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter
of Regal Jewellery Limited (in voluntary liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the company held on the 10th day of August
1954, the following special resolutions were passed:

"1. That pursuant to the provisions of section 221 (1)
(b) of the Companies Act 1933, the company be wound up
voluntarily.

“2. That Lester Matthew Donovan, of 57 High Street,
Lower Hutt, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed
liquidator of the company.'

of Electrosound Limited (in liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the members of the above company, duly
convened and held on the 5th day of August 1954, the following special resolution was duly passed:

"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that
Mr Noel Mackenzie Frederick Gibson, Public Accountant, of
Auckland, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the
purposes of such winding-up.'

ELECTROSOUND LIMITED

IN LIQUIDATION

Notice to Creditors to Prove

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter
of Electrosound Limited (in liquidation).

NOEL MACKENZIE FREDERICK GIBSON, being
liquidator of Electrosound Limited, which is being wound
up voluntarily, do hereby fix the 6th day of September 1954
as the day on or before which the creditors of the company
are to prove their debts or claims and to establish any title
they may have to priority under section 258 of the Companies
Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution
made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be,
from objecting to such distribution.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Supply Extension Loan 1954, £200,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926
and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf
enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the principal,
interest, and other charges on a loan of two hundred thousand
pounds (£200,000), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of extending the reticulation of the City water supply to
areas amalgamated with the City on the 1st day of October
1953, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of twenty-eight thousand eight hundred
and twenty-one one hundred and twenty-five thousandths of a
penny (28821/125000d.) in the pound (£0-0009607) on the
rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
payable on demand in each and every year during the currency
of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.'

The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the
9th day of August 1954, passed the above resolution.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act 1924, the Public Works Act 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, and their respective amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work (namely, for a street at Campbell Street, in the City of Wellington), and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said City, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.
