FASHIONS AND FABRICS LTD.
RECEIVER APPOINTED
NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of FASHIONS AND FABRICS LIMITED will be held on the 16th day of August 1954, at which a resolution for voluntary winding-up is to be proposed; and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act 1933, at the office of Mr J. J. Hall, Public Accountant, 20 Crawford Street, Dunedin, on Monday, the 16th day of August 1954, at 2.30 o'clock p.m., at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company's affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act may appoint a committee of inspection.

NOTICE is hereby given of the following resolution of the company, dated 28 July 1954, by means of an entry in its minute book, pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act 1933:
'That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that PETER VANT CEDERMAN, of Lower Hutt, Registered Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.'

SOUTHLAND CATCHMENT BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waikiwi River Works Loan 1953, £4,465
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and all other powers in that behalf it enabling, the Southland Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:
'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,465, known as the Waikiwi River Works Loan 1953, authorized to be raised by the Southland Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of meeting the Board's share of the cost of improvements to the Waikiwi River from its confluence with the Oreti River to the Invercargill-Queenstown State Highway, a distance of approximately seven (7) miles, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate, on a graduated scale according to a classification list made for the purposes of such rate of the lands within that part of the Southland Catchment District defined in the Southland Catchment Board Empowering Act 1953 and known as the Waikiwi River Rating District, Number 2, as follows, namely:
Ten shillings (10s.) per acre on lands classified as Class A;
Seven shillings and sixpence (7s. 6d.) per acre on lands classified as Class B;
Five shillings (5s.) per acre on lands classified as Class C;
Two shillings and sixpence (2s. 6d.) per acre on lands classified as Class D;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of sixteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Southland Catchment Board held on the 21st day of July 1954.
