NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

Notice under section 22 of the Public Works Act 1928

TAKE notice that the Manawatu County Council requires to take for the purposes of a public work (to wit, the erection of a worker’s dwelling pursuant to section 192 of the Counties Act 1908) the land appearing in the Schedule hereto; and further take notice that the said Manawatu County Council calls upon all persons affected by the taking of the said land by the said Manawatu County Council for the said purpose to set forth in writing any well-founded objections which they may have to the said taking of the said land, and to send such writing, within forty days of the 12th day of August 1954, being the date of the first publication of this notice, to the said Manawatu County Council at its offices in Sanson.

SCHEDULE

ONE rood, more or less, situate in the Township of Sandon, in the Manawatu District, being Lot 215 on Deposited Plan No. 13, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 5, folio 90 (Wellington Registry), subject to Caveat 13162 by James Henry May, of Sanson; the registered proprietor appearing on such certificate of title being Thomas Burt, of Lower Hutt, Storekeeper, as administrator of Richard Burt.

The certificate of title in the Land Transfer Office shows Thomas Burt, of Lower Hutt, Storekeeper (as administrator of the estate of Richard Burt), to be the registered proprietor of the land. Thomas Burt is now deceased, and no further grant of administration of the estate of Richard Burt has been made. The next of kin of Richard Burt were his sister, Harriet Haslem, the wife of John Haslem of Carterton, Builder; a half brother, Frank Burt, of the Wairarapa District, Farmer; and the said Thomas Burt. Any children or other relations of these persons, should they wish to claim compensation under the Public Works Act 1928, should refer this notice to a solicitor.

PATANGATA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Patangata County Council proposes to execute a certain public work (namely, to provide a road) and for such road the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Patangata County Council, Northumberland Street, Waipukurau, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-founded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Patangata County Council at its offices in Northumberland Street, Waipukurau.

SCHEDULE

(a) All that piece of land containing 3 roods 13 perches, more or less, being part of the land in D.P. 2883, being part Block 14, Pourerere Crown Grant District, part Block 37, Tarawera Crown Grant District, and part closed road, situate in the County of Patangata and Land Registration District of Hawke’s Bay; as the same is more particularly delineated on a plan numbered 2121, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier, and thereon coloured blue.

(b) All that piece of land containing 3 roods 4 perches, more or less, being part of the land in D.P. 2641, being part Block 37, Tarawera Crown Grant District, and closed road, and part Lot 1, D.P. 1777, being part Block 14, Pourerere Crown Grant District, situate in the County of Patangata and Land Registration District of Hawke’s Bay; as the same is more particularly delineated on a plan numbered 2121, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier, and thereon coloured sepia.

Both situated in Block II, Pourerere Survey District.
