HAWARDEN SALEYARDS COMPANY LIMITED
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of the HAWARDEN SALEYARDS COMPANY LIMITED (in voluntary liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the above-named company, duly convened and held at the Hawarden Hall, Hawarden, on the 23rd day of July 1954, the following resolution was duly passed:
‘‘That the company be wound up voluntarily and that CHARLES HERBERT LAWRENCE, of Christchurch, Secretary, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.’’

WESTERN WAIHEKE ROAD BOARD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Road Boards Act 1908, and of the Counties Act 1920, and of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Western Waiheke Road Board proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work (namely the widening and formation of a public road), and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and, further, that the said Board proposes to execute a further public work (namely, the establishment and enlargement of a quarry), and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken as aforesaid is deposited at the Western Waiheke Road Board Depot, Rata Street, Oneroa, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during all reasonable hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of the said lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk of the Western Waiheke Road Board at the office of the said Board, No. 2 (First Floor), National Mutual Life Buildings, 41 Shortland Street, Auckland.

ROXBURGH BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Roxburgh Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,600, to be known as the Fire Brigade Loan 1953, and authorized to be raised by the Roxburgh Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a new fire engine for the Roxburgh Urban Fire District, the said Roxburgh Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence halfpenny (2½d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Roxburgh comprising the whole of such Borough; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, for a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Roxburgh Borough Council held on the 8th day of March 1954.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waterworks Loan 1953, £100,000 (£15,000 Portion)
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Council of the Borough of Blenheim doth hereby resolve as follows:
‘‘That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000), authorized to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of renewing the spiral steel mains of the Borough water supply reticulation system and for providing for works and expenses incidental thereto, the said Council hereby pledges a special rate of nineteen one-hundredths of a penny (0·19d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the special rating area of the Borough being the Borough of Blenheim as existed prior to extension of its boundaries on 1 April 1952, which, if required, shall be appropriated as security for the purpose of the payment of interest and principal of the said loan, and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of the said loan.’’
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 4th day of August 1954.
