Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Waihi, the County
of Ohinemuri and the Waihi Riding of the County of
Ohinemuri

PURSUANT to section 147 of the Municipal Corporations
Act 1933, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby
defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the
Borough of Waihi, the County of Ohinemuri, and the Waihi
Riding of the County of Ohinemuri, the previous boundaries
having been altered by Order in Council dated the 23rd day of
February 1954 and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 13
of the 25th day of February 1954.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF WAIHI

ALL that area of approximately 1,330 acres in the South
Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a
point on the left bank of the Waitete Stream in line with the
southern boundary of Section 189, Block XV, Ohinemuri
Survey District, and running easterly generally along a right
line to and along that southern boundary and along another
right line, being that boundary produced to the eastern side
of Waitite Road; thence along that eastern side, to and
along the southern side of Rata Street and the western side of
Kensington Road, to a point in line with the southern side of
Pitt Street; thence along a right line to and along the
southern side of Pitt Street aforesaid to the north-eastern
corner of Section 181 of Block XV aforesaid, and along
another right line to the intersection of the northern side of
the aforesaid Pitt Street and the western side of Savage
Road; thence along the aforesaid northern side to its inter-
section with the western side of Bulltown Road, and along
a right line across the said Bulltown Road to the westernmost
corner of Section 174 of Block XV aforesaid; thence along
the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of the said
Section 174, the southern end of a road, the south-eastern
boundary of Residence Site 400, and along a right line being
the last-mentioned boundary produced to its intersection with
