Lot 13 on D.P. 7603, being parts of Ohauiti No. 2 and
Waitaha No. 2 Blocks, along a right line across a public road,
to and along the southern and eastern boundaries of Section
14s and the eastern boundary of Section 10s, both sections
being of Ohauiti Settlement aforesaid, along the eastern and
northern boundaries of Lot 2, on D.P. S. 1502, being part of
the aforementioned Waitaha No. 2 Block, the eastern boun-
daries of Lot 5, on D.P. 7603 aforementioned, and Lot 2,
on D.P. 9292, and the eastern and north-western boundaries
of part Lot 1, on D.P. 9292 aforesaid, the said lots being
parts of Waitaha No. 2 and Ohauiti No. 2 Blocks afore-
mentioned, to and down the left bank of the Kaitimako
Stream to the line of mean high water along the southern
shores of the Tauranga Harbour; thence north-easterly generally
along that line of mean high water to the southern corner of
Omanu No. 2x Block in Block XI, Tauranga Survey District
aforementioned; thence easterly generally along the southern
boundary of the Borough of Mount Maunganui, as herein-
before described, to the point of commencement; save and
excepting thereout the Borough of Te Puke, as described in
New Zealand Gazette No. 23 of the 29th day of March 1935,
page 1017.

Revoking a Notice Declaring Parts of a Tribal District to be
Tribal Committee Areas Under the Maori Social and
Economic Advancement Act 1945
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs
hereby revokes the notice dated 6 July 1950 and published in
the New Zealand Gazette on 20 July 1950, at page 998,
declaring parts of the Tuhoe-Manawaru Tribal District
described in the Schedule thereto to be tribal committee areas
for the purposes of the said Act.

Varying a Notice Declaring Parts of Tribal Districts to be
Tribal Committee Areas Under the Maori Social and
Economic Advancement Act 1945
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs
hereby varies the notice dated 29 November 1946 and pub-
lished in New Zealand Gazette on 12 December 1946, at page
1872, declaring the parts of the several tribal districts des-
cribed in the Schedule thereto to be tribal committee areas for
the purposes of the said Act, by deleting the descriptions in
the said Schedule of the tribal committee areas in the Ngati
Kahu Tribal District, and substituting therefor the descriptions
appearing in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
NGATI KAHU TRIBAL DISTRICT
Awanui Tribal Committee Area
ALL that area bounded by a line commencing at the eastern
corner of G. Stephenson's Grant, in Block XVI, Houhora
Survey District; thence proceeding south-easterly along the
sea coast and a right line to the middle of the mouth of
Rangaunu Bay; thence southerly along a right line to the
middle of the mouth of the Pairatahi River; thence up the
middle of that river and the Kareponia Canal to its inter-
section with the middle of Quarry Road; thence westerly
along the middle of Quarry Road to its junction with the
middle of the Whangarei-Awanui State Highway; thence due
west along a right line to the sea coast; thence north-westerly
along the sea coast to a point on the production of a right
line between the eastern corner of G. Stephenson's Grant afore-
said and the summit of Hukatere Hill; thence to and along
the said right line to the eastern corner of G. Stephenson's
Grant, the point of commencement.
Whatuwhiwhi Tribal Committee Area
All that portion of the Karikari Peninsula, bounded on
the west, north, and east generally by the sea, and on the
south by a right line from the mouth of the Awapoko River
westwards through the northernmost corner of Section 11,
Block VII, Rangaunu Survey District, to the sea, and including
adjacent islands.
Kareponia Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the middle
of the mouth of the Pairatahi River; thence proceeding north-
easterly generally to and along the shore of Rangaunu Bay to
the production of a right line from the mouth of the Awapoko
River to the northernmost corner of Section 11, Block VII,
Rangaunu Survey District; thence along the production of
that right line to the northernmost corner of the said Section
11; thence south-easterly along a right line in the direction
of the junction of the Kaingaroa-Fairburn Road with the
Pamapuria-Mangonui Road in Block VIII, Takahue Survey
District, to its intersection with the production of a right
line between the intersection of the middle of the Kareponia
Canal and the middle of Quarry Road and Trig. Station 29
in Block XI, Rangaunu Survey District; thence south-westerly
to and along the last-mentioned right line to the middle of
the Kareponia Canal; thence north-easterly generally along
the middle of that canal and the middle of Pairatahi River
to its mouth, being the point of commencement.
Oturu Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the
intersection of the middle of Kareponia Canal with the middle
of Quarry Road; thence north-easterly along a right line to
Trig. Station 29 in Block XI, Rangaunu Survey District;
thence southerly along a right line to the junction of Ruaroa
Road with the Whangarei-Awanui State Highway near Rangi-
tihi; thence westerly and northerly generally along the middle
of that highway, passing through Commerce Street, Borough
of Kaitaia, to the intersection of the said highway with the
middle of Quarry Road; thence easterly along the middle of
Quarry Road to its intersection with the middle of Kareponia
Canal, the point of commencement.
Pamapuria Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig.
Station 29, in Block XI, Rangaunu Survey District; thence
proceeding north-easterly along the production of a right line
between the intersection of the middle of Kareponia Canal
and the middle of Quarry Road and the said Trig. Station 29
to its intersection with a right line between the northernmost
corner of Section 11, Block VII, Rangaunu Survey District,
and the junction of the Kaingaroa-Fairburn Road with the
Pamapuria-Mangonui Road in Block VIII, Takahue Survey
District; thence south-easterly along the last-mentioned right
line to the said junction and along a right line to the north-
eastern corner of Mangamuka West 3A 4 Block in Block X,
Maungataniwha Survey District, being a point on the boundary
of the Ngati Kahu Tribal District, as described in the New
Zealand Gazette of 12 December 1946, at page 1863; thence
south-westerly and northerly generally along the boundary of
that tribal district to the junction of Ruaroa Road with the
Whangarei-Awanui State Highway near Rangitihi; thence
northerly along a right line to Trig. Station 29, the point of
commencement.
Parapara Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point
in the middle of the mouth of the Awapoko River; thence
proceeding easterly to and along the sea coast to a point on
the production of a right line between the junction of the
Taipa-Oturu Road with the Mangonui-Pamapuria Road and
Trig. Station 1605 in Block IV, Mangonui Survey District;
thence south-easterly to and along that right line to the said
road junction; thence south-westerly along a right line to
Trig. Station 1607A in Block I, Maungataniwha Survey District,
and a right line to the junction of the Kaingaroa-Fairburn
Road with the Pamapuria-Mangonui Road in Block VIII,
Takahue Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right
line to the northernmost corner of Section 11, Block VII,
Rangaunu Survey District; thence easterly along a right line
to the middle of the mouth of the Awapoko River, the point
of commencement.
Peria Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the
junction of the Kaingaroa-Fairburn Road with the Pamapuria-
Mangonui Road in Block VIII, Takahue Survey District;
thence north-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station 1607A
in Block I, Maungataniwha Survey District, and along another
right line to the junction of the Taipa-Oturu Road with the
Mangonui-Pamapuria Road; thence south-easterly along a
right line to Trig. Station D in Block III, Maungataniwha
Survey District, and another right line to the easternmost
corner of Allotment 96, Kohumaru Parish, being a point on
the boundary of the Ngati Kahu Tribal District; thence
south-westerly generally along that boundary to the north-
eastern corner of Mangamuka West No. 3A 4 Block; thence
north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of the Pama-
puria Tribal Committee Area, hereinbefore described, to the
junction of the Kaingaroa-Fairburn Road with the Pamapuria-
Mangonui Road, the point of commencement.
Kenana Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at Te Ringa
Point in Block I, Mangonui Survey District; thence south-
easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-
eastern boundaries of the Ngati Kahu Tribal District to the
easternmost corner of Allotment 96, Kohumaru Parish, in
Block VII, Maungataniwha Survey District; thence north-
westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of the Peria and
Parapara Tribal Committee Areas, hereinbefore described, to
the sea coast; thence easterly and northerly generally along
the sea coast to Te Ringa Point, the point of commencement.
