A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Francis Michael Sheridan, of Fairfax, Farmer, under and by virtue of Crown Lease No. 10045, Volume 177, folio 247 (Southland Land Registry), is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 2nd day of August 1954.

Approximate area of the piece of land in respect of which the leasehold estate is taken: 6·1 perches.
Being part Lot 1, D.P. 4255, being part Section 30.
Situated in Block VIII, Jacobs River Hundred (Southland R.D.). (S.O. 6093.)

Defining the Middle Line of a Further Portion of the Edgecumbe-Murupara Railway

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of a further portion of the Edgecumbe-Murupara Railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that land shown coloured red on the plan marked P.W.D. 143860, referred to in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
Commencing at a point marked 37 miles 26 chains on plan P.W.D. 143860, being the point of termination of the middle line of the portion of the Edgecumbe-Murupara Railway shown on plan P.W.D. 142883 (Proclamation S. 66785), and proceeding thence in a southerly direction generally for a distance of 73 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, etc. (viz., part Karatia 3B 2B Block (no registration); Karatia 3A Block (no registration); part Karatia 3B 2B Block (no registration); part Karatia 3B 2A 2A Block (C.T. 1092/5); part Karatia 3B 2A 2B Block (no registration); part Run 57 (Gazette, 1926, page 2863)), and terminating at a point marked 38 miles 19 chains on Plan P.W.D. 143860 in the aforesaid part Run 57 on the northern side of the Rotorua-Waikaremoana State Highway; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses; all in the South Auckland Land District.
As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 143860, deposited in the Office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 27th day of July 1954.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the assignment to Hazel Vera Ward, of Newton Flat, Hotelkeeper, by Elizabeth Mooney, of Newton Flat, Widow, of her rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the 8th day of December 1943 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 16th day of the same month at page 1491 authorizing Thomas Mooney, of Newton Flat, Hotelkeeper, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect certain electric lines, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order in Council having been previously assigned to the said Elizabeth Mooney.
