IN the notice ‘List of Persons Authorized to Perform Vaccination Against Tuberculosis’ published in New Zealand Gazette No. 43, dated 15 July 1954, page 1143, for ‘John Alexander Macleod, Christchurch’, read ‘John Alexander McLeod, Christchurch’.

IN the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, dated 8 July 1954, page 1121, under the heading ‘Notice to Persons Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936’, notice was given of an application having been made by C. P. Ritchie, corner Mueller and Union Streets, Waihi, for a licence to resell motor spirit from one pump already installed on premises at corner of Mueller and Union Streets, Waihi.

This notice is hereby cancelled and the following substituted therefor:

‘C. P. Ritchie, corner Mueller and Union Streets, Waihi, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from one pump already installed on premises at corner of Mueller and Union Streets, Waihi, sales to be restricted to rental vehicles only.’

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application should, not later than 5 August 1954, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 2492, Wellington.

Declaring Lands in Gisborne, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago Land Districts, Vested in the Hawke’s Bay, Wanganui, Canterbury, and Otago Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and thereupon the school site or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Hawke’s Bay Education Board, the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wanganui Education Board, the land described in the Third Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board, and the land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.
