Quarantine Grounds Abolished (Notice No. Ag. 5683)

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Stock Act 1908, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby abolish the quarantine ground at Quail Island, in the Harbour of Lyttelton, which was set apart by a Proclamation dated the 16th day of February 1892 and published in the Gazette of 18 February 1892, at page 336.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 15th day of July 1954.

Authorizing the Western Waiheke Road Board to Exercise Powers Conferred by the Road Boards Amendment Act 1914

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Western Waiheke Road Board has passed a resolution adopting the Road Boards Amendment Act 1914:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 2 of the Road Boards Amendment Act 1914, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Western Waiheke Road Board is hereby authorized to exercise the powers conferred by that Act.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 19th day of July 1954.

Declaring Lands in Otago Land District, Vested in the Otago Education Board as Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and thereupon the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Otago Education Board as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

Also Sections 3, 4, 5, and 6, Block IV, Town of Herbert: Area, 1 acre, more or less. (S.O. plan 363 TN.)

Also Section 22, Block IV, Upper Taieri Survey District: Area, 16 acres 3 roods 35 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 1818.)

Also Section 4, Block III, Catlins Survey District: Area, 9 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 303.)

Also Section 30, Block VII, Catlins Survey District: Area, 23 acres 2 roods 28 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 311.)

Also Section 8, Block XVI, Maerewhenua Survey District: Area, 10 acres, more or less. (S.O. plan 1063.)

Also Section 1, Block V, Serpentine Survey District: Area, 9 acres 3 roods 39 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 1487.)

Also Section 37, Block I, Rock and Pillar Survey District: Area, 21 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 1642.)
