Appointment of Customs Examining Place at Tauranga

PURSUANT to section 20 of the Customs Act 1913, and to powers delegated to him by the Minister of Customs under section 11 of that Act, the Comptroller of Customs hereby appoints the premises described in the First Schedule hereto to be a place for the examination by the Customs of goods subject to the control of the Customs, and hereby revokes the appointment of the premises described in the Second Schedule hereto as a Customs Examining-place.*

FIRST SCHEDULE

WHARF shed situated on the Railway Wharf, Tauranga.

SECOND SCHEDULE

WHARF shed situated on the Town Wharf, Tauranga.

The Standards Act 1941—Amendment of Standard Specification

NOTICE is hereby given that on 14 June 1954, the under-mentioned standard specification was amended by the Minister of Industries and Commerce by incorporation of the amendment shown hereunder:

Number and Title of Specification: N.Z.S.S. 493: Dimensions and workmanship of ceramic washdown W.C. pans; being B.S. 1213: 1945, with Amendment PD 769, April 1948, amended to meet New Zealand requirements.

Amendment: No. 2A, June 1954.

Price of Copy (Post Free): 2s.

Application for copies of the standard specification so amended should be made to the New Zealand Standards Institute, Hamilton Chambers, 201 Lambton Quay (P.O. Box 195), Wellington C.1. Copies of the amendment will be supplied free of charge, upon request.

Appointment of Wharf at Tauranga

PURSUANT to section 19 of the Customs Act 1913, and to powers delegated to him by the Minister of Customs under section 11 of that Act, the Comptroller of Customs hereby appoints the place described in the First Schedule hereto to be a wharf for the lading and unlading of goods, and hereby declares that the places described in the Second Schedule hereto shall cease to be wharves for the purposes of that Act, and revokes the appointment of the last-mentioned places as wharves.*

FIRST SCHEDULE

THE wharf known as the Railway Wharf, Tauranga.

SECOND SCHEDULE

THE wharves known as the Town and Victoria Wharves, Tauranga.

Member of House of Representatives Elected, Onslow Electoral District

PURSUANT to the Electoral Act 1927 I have received a return to the writ issued by me on the 30th day of June 1954 for the election of a Member of Parliament to serve in the House of Representatives for the Electoral District of Onslow, and by the endorsement on such writ it appears that
