meaning and be interpreted in the same way as the same
words in the said by-law: provided that where any provisions
of the said by-law are in conflict with the provisions of this
building by-law the latter shall prevail.
3. Part VII, Buildings, Dwellings, and Building-site Areas,
clauses 103 to 138 inclusive, and the First, Second, Third, and
Fourth Schedules of the said by-law are hereby revoked in so
far as they affect the Waihemo County, and the following
attached Parts I to XI of the New Zealand Standard Code of
Building By-laws or as modified by Supplement No. 1, and
clauses 101, 102, and 110, shall be substituted therefor. Parts
I to IV, Preliminary, Offences, Permits, and Basic Requirements for Building Construction, and Amendments Nos. 1 and
2. Parts V and VI, Reinforced and Plain Concrete Construction
and Panel Walls in Framed Structures, with Amendments Nos.
1, 2, 3, and 4. Part VII, Means of Egress. Part VIII, Residential Buildings, with Amendments Nos. 1 and 2. Part IX,
Light Timber Construction, with Amendments Nos. 1 and 2.
Part X, Masonry Buildings of Bearing Wall Construction,
with Amendment No. 1, Part XI, Steel Work, with Amendment No. 1. Part XII, Chimneys, with Amendment No. 1.
4. Subject to the amendments set out in clauses 101, 102,
and 110 of this by-law, and the attached parts of the New
Zealand Standard Code of Building By-laws (N.Z.S.S. 95) as
modified by the attached Supplement No. 1 thereto, are hereby
adopted as the building by-law as of fully set out in this
special order, and made the Waihemo County Building By-law
No. 3, 1954.
The above by-law was duly made by special order passed
at a special meeting of the Waihemo County Council on the
17th day of May 1954, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting
of the said Council held at 10.30 o'clock in the forenoon on
the 23rd day of June 1954.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and In-
habitants of the County of Waihemo was hereunto affixed this
23rd day of June 1954 in the presence of—

TOWN PLANNING SCHEME NO. 1
PURSUANT to clauses 9 and 19 of the Green Island Town
Planning No. 1 Scheme, clauses and section 2 of the
Town and Country Planning Act 1953, public notice is hereby
given that the Green Island Borough Council proposes to
permit the erection of a shop or shops on Lot 2 of Lots 25/26,
Block D, Township of Kingston, situated at the corner of
Paterson and Runciman Streets, Green Island, and a shop or
shops on Lot 7, Block E, Township of Kingston, situated at
the corner of Abbotsford Road, Green Island.
Objections to the proposal, addressed to the undersigned,
will be received up to 26 July 1954, from occupiers of
rateable property within the area covered by the Green Island
Town Plan No. 1.

WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCLL
Notice With Respect To Amendment Of The Stoke Riding
District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that a district scheme to
amend the Stoke Riding District Scheme No. 1 has
been prepared in terms of section 29 of the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953.
The amending scheme proposes to change the classification
of Lots 10 and 11, D.P. 4057, part Sections 43 and 46,
Suburban South District, Main Road, Stoke, from
'Residential', as shown on Map No. 3 of the principal
scheme, to 'Service Industrial'.
Any owner or occupier of rateable property in the area
covered by the above scheme may, by notice in writing
addressed to the Waimea County Council, give notice of
objection and of the grounds thereof at any time on or
before the 1st day of October 1954.
The scheme may be inspected by the public at the office
of the Waimea County Council, Trafalgar Street, Nelson,
without fee, at any time when the Council's office is open to
the public.

WAIRAKI RABBIT BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies'
Loans Act 1926, and amendments, the Board resolves as
follows:
'1. That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan to be called the Housing Loan No. 2
1953, of £4,500 (£3,000 of which has been authorized to be
raised by the Board under the above Act for the purpose
of erecting a worker's dwelling for the use of a Board's
employee), the Wairaki Rabbit Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate of three-farthings (3d.) an acre on all
rateable property in the Wairaki Rabbit District, and that
such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, payable by equal half-yearly
instalments on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of
September in each year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.
2. That the Board be authorized to raise a loan of
£2,800 on the terms agreed with State Advances Corporation,
appropriating and pledging a special rate for repayment of
principal and interest for the purpose of erecting a dwelling
for the use of employees, that it be known as the Housing
