OTAKI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and their respective amendments.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Otaki proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work (namely, the completion of Marine Parade, Otaki, as a street), and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Otaki Borough Council, Main Street, Otaki, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must submit their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days of the first publication of this notice, to the Otaki Borough Council, addressed to the Town Clerk, at the office of the said Council, at Main Street, Otaki.

SCHEDULE

Those pieces of land situate in Block VIII, Waitohu Survey District, containing by admeasurement: Firstly, 29·5 perches, more or less, being part of Old Sea Bed adjoining Tamanuku Block 35, being more particularly shown on Subdivisional Plan 20019, thereon coloured red; secondly, 10·9 perches, more or less, being part of Old Sea Bed adjoining Tamanuku Block 2b, being more particularly shown on Subdivisional Plan 20019, and thereon coloured red.

PUKEKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Pukekohe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,200 authorized to be raised by the Pukekohe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land required for a bus terminal scheme, the said Pukekohe Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fifth of a penny (1/25d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Pukekohe; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

The foregoing was passed at a meeting of the Pukekohe Borough Council held on 17 June 1954.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Timaru City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work (namely, the formation and construction of a public street), and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situated in King George’s Place, Timaru, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

T HE Council of Waitemo, acting in pursuance of the powers conferred upon it by the Counties Act 1920, the Health Act 1920, and the Standards Act 1941, including any amendments thereto, and in all other powers and authorities it in any way enabling, hereby makes, by way of special order, the following by-law:

  1. The short title of this by-law shall be the Waitemo County Building By-law No. 3, 1954, and shall come into force on the 1st day of July 1954.

  2. This by-law shall read with and amending the Otago Counties Joint By-law 1927 (hereinafter referred to as the said by-law), and the words herein used shall have the same
