HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Masterton County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 1 acre 1 rood 11.1 perches.

Adjoining part Sections 33 and 37, Opaki Block.

Situated in Block XII, Mikimiki Survey District. (S.O. 22832.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 143493, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Brunswick Street Extension, in the Borough of Queenstown, Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the following resolution passed by the Queenstown Borough Council on the 5th day of April 1954, in so far as it affects the portion of street described in the Schedule hereto, viz.:

‘‘The Queenstown Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the Borough of Queenstown, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to all that 50 links portion of the extension of Brunswick Street adjoining Section 4 and part of Section 19, Block XX, Shotover Survey District.’’

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of street situated in the Otago Land District, Borough of Queenstown, known as Brunswick Street Extension, fronting portion of Section 4 and portion of Section 19, Block XX, Shotover Survey District.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 143094, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Termination of Appointment in the Royal New Zealand Navy

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has, pursuant to section 7 of the Naval Defence Act 1913, accepted the resignation of Communications Lieutenant William Lewis Brewer, M.B.E., D.S.M., from the Active List of the Royal New Zealand Navy. He will be placed on the Retired List of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy, to date 14 July 1954.
