Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Canterbury Land District and Vesting in the Ashburton County Council

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for municipal purposes to a reserve for a gravel pit, and vests the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ashburton.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 2992, situated in the Town of Chertsey: Area, 1 rood 5 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 877.)

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize them while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Pursuant to subsection (1) of section 2 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby determines that the vehicles specified in the Schedule hereto, forming part of multi-axled vehicles as defined by section 2 of the said Act, shall be deemed to be trailers.

Pursuant to subsection (1) of section 2 of the Transport Act 1949, The Minister of Transport hereby determines that the vehicle specified in the Schedule hereto, forming part of a multi-axled vehicle as defined by section 2 of the said Act, shall be deemed to be a trailer.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block VI, Ikitara Survey District, for Road

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Wanganui and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 30 perches.
Being part Section 8, Left Bank, Wanganui River.

The Town and Country Planning Act 1953—County of Whakatane

Public notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, approval has been granted to the Whakatane County Council to prepare, recommend, and approve its district scheme by sections, as follows:
(1) Kawerau Section described in the Schedule hereto.
(2) The remainder of the County of Whakatane.

SCHEDULE
WHAKATANE COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME (KAWERAU SECTION)
ALL that area of approximately 28,420 acres in the Whakatane County, in the South Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 7, Block VIII, Rotoma Survey District, and running easterly generally along the southern boundaries of Allotment 28A 2, Matata Parish, and part Lot 2 of Section 6 of the said Block VIII, crossing the intervening stream and river-bank reserves, along the western and southern boundaries of Section 6, Block V, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, crossing and re-crossing McIvor Road, to and along the southern side of the public road forming the northern boundaries of Sections 23 and 21 of the said Block V, and along a right line being the production of that southern side across Onepu Road to the south-western boundary of Section 7, Block V, aforesaid; thence along that south-western boundary to and along the southern and eastern boundaries of Section 7 aforesaid, to and along the southern boundary of Section 8, Block V, aforesaid, and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced along the southern end of a river-bank reserve, across the Tarawera River, and through a strip of closed road to the western boundary of part Lot 6 on D.P. 7474, being part Allotment 148, Matata Parish, aforesaid; thence along that western boundary to and along the south-western boundary of Lot 1 on D.P. 8233, being part of the said Allotment 148, and along the northern side of the public road forming the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 1 and the southern boundary of the aforesaid part Lot 6, to and along the north-eastern side of Military Road, to and along the southern boundary of Section 8, Block VI, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, and the southern side of the public road forming the southern boundaries of Sections 6, 12, and 13 of the said Block VI, and along a right line, being the said southern side produced to the eastern side of Grieve Road; thence southerly generally along the eastern side of Grieve Road aforesaid, to and along the northern side of the Rotorua-Whakatane State Highway to a point in line with the western boundary of Allotment 121, Matata Parish, aforesaid; thence along a right line across the said State highway to and along that
