A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare
that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 14th day of
June 1954.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart:
32-33 perches.
Being Lot 160, D.P. 15345, being part of Section 7, of the
Hall-Jones Settlement, situated in the City of Lower Hutt,
and being part of the land comprised and described in
certificate of title, Volume 425, folio 96 (Wellington Land
Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 1st day of June 1954.

Altering the Boundaries of the Hawke's Bay and Central
Hawke's Bay Electric Power Districts

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie,
the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby alter the boundaries
of the Hawke's Bay and Central Hawke's Bay Electric
Power Districts by excluding the area described in the First
Schedule hereto from the Central Hawke's Bay Electric Power
District and including such area in the Hawke's Bay Electric
Power District, and by excluding the area described in the
Second Schedule hereto from the Hawke's Bay Electric Power
District and including such area in the Central Hawke's Bay
Electric Power District, and I hereby declare that the altered
boundaries of the Hawke's Bay and Central Hawke's Bay
Electric Power Districts shall be those described in the Third
and Fourth Schedules hereto, respectively.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District and the
Patangata County, situated in Blocks IV and VIII, Oero
Survey District, and Block III, Waimarama Survey District,
being Lot 1 on plan numbered 3215, deposited in the office
of the District Land Registrar at Napier, and being also
Te Apiti 2A, 2B, and part 2C and 2D Blocks, and including
the intersecting road. As the said area is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 285, deposited in the
office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington,
and thereon bordered yellow.
SECOND SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District and the
Hawke's Bay County, situated in Block XVI, Maraekakaho
Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at a point in
the middle of the Napier-Palmerston North State Highway
in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 5 on the plan
numbered 5103, deposited in the office of the District Land
Registrar at Napier; thence north-westerly to and along that
boundary to the southernmost point of Poupoutahi D 2 Block;
thence north-easterly and south-easterly along the south-eastern
boundary of the said Poupoutahi D 2 Block and the south-
western boundary of Poupoutahi D 1 Block and its production
to the middle of the aforesaid Napier-Palmerston North
State Highway; thence south-westerly along the middle of the
said highway to the point of commencement. As the said
area is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D.
286, deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Depart-
ment at Wellington, and thereon bordered yellow.
THIRD SCHEDULE
HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC POWER DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District bounded
by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast in line with
the northern boundary of Lot 2 on plan numbered 3216,
deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at
Napier, in Block III, Waimarama Survey District; thence
westerly and south-westerly to and along the northern and
north-western boundaries of the said Lot 2 to the northern
boundary of Kairakau 2D 1 Block; thence westerly along the
northern boundaries of the said Kairakau 2D 1 Block and of
Lots 2 and 1 on plan numbered 3728 and Lot 1 on the plan
numbered 3309, both deposited as aforesaid, to the eastern
boundary of Section 46, Block VII, Oero Survey District;
thence northerly along the eastern boundaries of the said
Section 46 and of Sections 7, 6, Lot 2 of Section 5, and Section
4, Block III, Oero Survey District, to the north-eastern corner
of the last-mentioned Section 4; thence westerly along the
northern boundary of the said Section 4 to the middle of the
Hawea Stream; thence down the middle of that stream to
and up the middle of the Tuki Tuki River, to and up the
middle of the Papanui Stream to the middle of the Waitukai
Road; thence generally northerly and westerly along the
middle of the said Waitukai Road and the Papanui-Te Aute
Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot
17B on the plan numbered 4386, deposited as aforesaid; thence
northerly and westerly to and along the eastern and northern
boundaries of the said Lot 17B, and again westerly along
the northern boundaries of Lots 17A and 17 on the said plan
numbered 4386, and of Poupoutahi A Block, to the south-
eastern corner of Papaaruhe 4A and 4c No. 2 Block; thence
north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the said
Papaaruhe 4A and 4c No. 2 Block to the north-eastern bound-
ary of Papaaruhe 4A Block; thence north-westerly along that
boundary and its production to the middle of the Napier-
Palmerston North State Highway; thence southerly along the
middle of that highway to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Papaaruhe 4D Block; thence north-wester-
ly to and along that boundary and south-westerly along the
north-western boundary of the said Papaaruhe 4D Block to
the north-eastern boundary of Poupoutahi C Block; thence
north-westerly along that boundary and north-westerly and
south-westerly along the north-eastern and north-western bound-
aries of Poupoutahi D 2 Block to the north-eastern boundary
of Lot 29 on the plan numbered 4416, deposited as aforesaid;
thence north-westerly along that boundary and the north-
eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block XV, and Section 1,
Block XIV, Maraekakaho Survey District, to the north-western
corner of the last-mentioned Section 1; thence again north-
westerly by a right line to a point in the middle of the
Manga-o-nuku Stream in line with the north-western boundary
of Section 1, Block X, Maraekakaho Survey District; thence
up the middle of that stream to the middle of the Fernhill-
Tapapau via Maraekakaho Main Highway in Block V,
Maraekakaho Survey District, which point is more particularly
delineated on plan numbered 1890 (red), lodged in the office
of the Chief Surveyor at Napier; thence north-easterly along
the middle of that highway to the middle of the aforesaid
Manga-o-nuku Stream; thence again up the middle of that
stream to the original northern boundary of Block 3, Gwawas
Crown Grant District, in Block IV, Wakarara Survey District;
thence westerly along that boundary and generally south-
westerly along the north-western boundaries of Blocks 3, 1,
5, and again Block 1, Gwawas Crown Grant District, and the
last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the
Mangamauku Stream; thence up the middle of that stream
to the north-eastern boundary of part Section 1, Block XI,
Wakarara Survey District; thence north-westerly along that
boundary to the northernmost point of the said part Section
1; thence westerly by a right line to the junction of the north
branch of the Waipawa River and the Makaroro River (east
of Section 8, Block IX, Wakarara Survey District); thence
north-westerly along a right line in the direction of Trig.
Station 30 (Aorangi) to the summit of the Ruahine Range;
thence northerly along the summit of the said range to Trig.
Station Y, Block XII, Pukeokahu Survey District; thence
north-easterly along a right line to a point in the middle
of the Taruarau River opposite the westernmost corner of Block
78, Maraekakaho Crown Grant District, in Block II, Ngaruroro
Survey District; thence down the middle of the said Taruarau
River and up the middle of the Ngaruroro River to its
intersection with a right line between Trig. Stations 26
(Tawaki Tohunga) and 65A; thence easterly along that right
line to Trig. Station 65A; thence north-easterly along a right
line to Trig. Station 68A and its production to the middle of
the Mohaka River; thence down the middle of that river to
a point in line with the south-western boundary of part
Pastoral Run 9, in Block IX, Waitara Survey District; thence
south-easterly to and along that boundary to the middle of
the Waikari River; thence down the middle of the said river
to the sea and southerly along the sea-coast to the point of
commencement. As the said area is more particularly delineat-
ed on the plans marked S.H.D. 283/1, 283/2, 283/3, and 283/4,
deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department
at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.
FOURTH SCHEDULE
CENTRAL HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC POWER DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District bounded
by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast on the
boundary between Blocks X and XIII, Tautane Survey District,
being also a point on the boundary of the Patangata County
as described in the New Zealand Gazette of 1947, at page 641;
thence generally northerly along the western boundary of the
said Patangata County, the south-western boundary of the
Waipukurau County as described in the New Zealand Gazette
of 1947, at page 641, and the south-western boundary of the
Waipawa County as described in the New Zealand Gazette of
1930, at page 2684, to the middle of the Napier-Palmerston
North State Highway, being also a point in the middle of
the Manawatu River; thence up the middle of the said
Manawatu River to a point in line with the eastern boundary
of Rakautatahi 1F 1A 5 Block; thence northerly to and along
the said eastern boundary to the Mahuranui Stream and up
that stream to its intersection with the southern boundary
