WAIROA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION LEVYING SECURITY RATE

£10,000 Loan, 1952

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Wairoa Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“‘That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s Reticulation Loan 1952, of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Wairoa Electric Power Board under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of further reticulating the Wairoa Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Wairoa Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-ninth of a penny (1/29d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Wairoa Electric Power District, such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 13th day of May 1954 presented to the said Court by DIAMOND CULTIVATORS LIMITED, a company incorporated under the Companies Act 1933 and having its registered office at 230 Marua Road, Ellerslie, Auckland, General Engineers and Manufacturers; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Auckland on the 25th day of June 1954 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company (namely, Steel Erection Company Limited) desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.
