MANAWATU CATCHMENT BOARD
Waikawa-Manakau Rivers Scheme Loan 1953, £2,500

Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Waikawa-Manakau Rivers Scheme Special Area taken on the 15th day of December 1953 on the proposal of the Manawatu Catchment Board to borrow the sum of £2,500 for the purpose of carrying out river-control and drainage works on the Waikawa and Manakau Rivers and adjacent areas:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 38. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 26.

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES

Evidence having been furnished of the loss of the outstanding duplicate of Memorandum of Mortgage No. 178407 in the names of WILLIAM HENRY SUTCLIFFE, of Wellington, Mechanic, and HELENA SUTCLIFFE, his wife, as mortgagees of 29 perches, more or less, situate in the City of Wellington, being part of Section 95, Town of Wellington, and being also Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 5287, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 333, folio 143, Wellington Registry, and application having been made to me to register a transmission No. 54157 of the said mortgage to the said William Henry Sutcliffe as survivor and a discharge of the said mortgage, I hereby give notice of my intention to dispense with the production of the outstanding duplicate of the said mortgage under section 44 of the Land Transfer Act 1952 and to register the said transmission and discharge on the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.
