  1. Goods for Transhipment at Lyttelton

  2. Where goods for transhipment are landed ex-ship they will be charged the rates provided for in reg. 96, General Scale of Charges. If examined by the Customs, 3s. 8d. per ton in addition may be charged when extra handling is incurred. If left on the railway premises more than one week, storage at the rate of 7s. 4d. per ton per week or fraction of a week will be charged.

  3. Storage Charges on Shipping Traffic at Lyttelton

  4. For all goods of Classes C, D, and goods of classes not otherwise specified, not taken delivery of by consignees within five working-hours after arrival, unloaded and stored, the storage charges will be, for each week or fraction of a week, per ton .. .. .. s. d.

  9. Storage Charges at Christchurch on Goods ex Ship

  10. Goods discharged ex-ship at Lyttelton and conveyed to Christchurch for delivery will be allowed free storage on the first day they are available for delivery and the following day. After the expiration of this period, storage will be charged at the following rates:
    For the first four days, per day or part thereof .. 1s. 10d. per ton. Minimum charge, 7d. per day.
    Each succeeding day or part thereof .. .. 3s. 8d. per ton. Minimum charge, 1s. 3d. per day.

  11. Handling Charges on Motor Vehicles at Lyttelton

  12. The following handling charges will be payable on motor vehicles discharged from or loaded on to vessels at the Lyttelton wharves:

(a) For each motor bicycle delivered to or received from persons on the Steamer Express wharf .. .. .. .. .. .. s. d.

(c) For each motor vehicle loaded on to or unloaded from railway wagons at any wharf .. 6 9

  1. The charges as set out in subparas. (a) and (b) of para. 1 of this regulation will also apply to inter-Island passengersโ€™ motor vehicles conveyed by vessels used to supplement the steamer express service at holiday periods.

  2. Haulage and Shunting Charges, Christchurch, Riccarton, and Addington

  3. Except where otherwise specified, the charge for haulage between the Departmentโ€™s sheds at Christchurch will be as follows:
    Goods not otherwise specified (minimum charge, 1s. 10d.) .. .. 3s. 8d. per ton.

  4. All goods conveyed from private sidings or station yards at Riccarton to private sidings or station yards at Addington, or vice versa, will be charged 3s. 8d. per ton or part of a ton; minimum charge, 18s. 4d.

  5. Grain in lots of not less than 20 tons conveyed from private sidings or station yards at Christchurch to private sidings or station yards at Riccarton, or vice versa, will be charged 6s. 4d. per ton.

  6. Grain in lots of not less than 6 tons conveyed from private sidings or station yards at Christchurch to private sidings or station yards at Addington, or vice versa, will be charged 6s. 4d. per ton.
