NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Foreshore Protection Works Loan 1953
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves as follows:
'That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges for a loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing protection works on the Mount Bryon Domain foreshore, and also on a portion of Kawaroa Park foreshore, the said New Plymouth City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine sixty-fourths of a penny (%64d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Stratford Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £14,000, authorized to be raised by the Stratford Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act as the Stratford Borough Council Streets Reconstruction, Kerbing, and Sealing Loan 1953, £14,000, the Stratford Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixty-one one hundred and twenty-eighths of a penny (61/128d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Stratford comprising the whole of the Borough of Stratford; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed at a special meeting of the Stratford Borough Council held on Monday, the 8th day of February 1954.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution was adopted by the above company on the 23rd day of April 1954:
'That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that VICTOR WILLIAM HALL TRAYES, of Auckland, Registered Accountant, be appointed liquidator.'

WAIRERE ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Wairere Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000, known as the Staff Housing Loan 1953, and authorized to be raised by the Wairere Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting staff houses, the said Wairere Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Wairere Electric Power District comprising part of the Waitomo County, part of the Clifton County, and parts of the Ohura County; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan or until the loan is fully paid off.'
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Wairere Electric Power Board at a meeting held on the 15th day of April 1954.

Advertisement of Cancelling
NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 3rd day of May 1954, cancelled the registry of Perseverance Tent No. 6 of the New Zealand Central District, No. 86, Independent Order of Rechabites Friendly Society (Register No. 110/8), held at Wellington, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, £1 10s. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in (1) and (2) above, on combined subscription basis, £3 3s. per calendar year in advance.
(4) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.
