PURSUANT to section 16 of the New Zealand Army Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army:
COLONELS’ LIST
Regular Force
Brigadier G. H. Clifton, D.S.O., M.C., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, with the rank of Brigadier. Dated 6 April 1954.
THE ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY
Regular Force
Captain E. J. Manders, M.C., is appointed D.A.Q.M.G., Headquarters, Central Military District, and is granted the temporary rank of Major whilst so employed. Dated 4 March 1954.
The notice published in the N.Z. Gazette No. 21, dated 1 April 1954, relative to the transfer of Captain F. F. Whiting to the 9th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A. (T.F.), is hereby cancelled. Dated 1 April 1954.
2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) R. J. Pearce to be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority from 17 February 1953. Dated 25 November 1953.

13th Composite Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A.
Lieutenant-Colonel H. T. W. Nolan, D.S.O., E.D., relinquishes the appointment of C.O., 13th Composite Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A., and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 13th Composite Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A., with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, with seniority from 29 March 1945. Dated 31 March 1954.
Major B. L. Burns is appointed C.O., 13th Composite Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A., and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 1 April 1954.
