TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the town planning scheme for the Borough of Green Island intituled the Green Island Town Planning Scheme No. 1, which was finally approved by the Town Planning Board on the 17th day of June 1952, pursuant to the provisions of the Town Planning Act 1926, and the Town Planning Regulations 1927, has by virtue of section 19 (2) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 become an operative district scheme of the Borough of Green Island within the meaning of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
The scheme may be inspected in the Green Island Borough Council offices at Green Island, without fee, by every person who so requires, at any time when the Council's office is open to the public.

SOUTH OTAGO MILK BOARD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR PUBLIC WORKS
NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the statutory powers vested in it by the Milk Act 1944 and the Public Works Act 1928 the South Otago Milk Board proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a public work (to wit, the purposes of the Milk Act 1944);
a. any person objecting to the taking of the said land must lodge his or her objections in writing at the offices of the South Otago Milk Board, namely, the offices of the Balclutha Borough Council, Clyde Street, Balclutha, within forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice.
A copy of the plan showing the area of the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the offices aforesaid and may be inspected there at any time during office hours.
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land situate in the District of Clutha containing nineteen and sixty-four hundredths (19.64) poles, be the same a little more or less, being that part of Section Six (6), Block thirty-five (XXXV), coloured yellow on said plan deposited as aforesaid, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 17, folio 211.

CHRISTCHURCH RECORDINGS LIMITED
NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS
NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of Christchurch Recordings Limited will be held on Thursday, the 22nd day of April 1954, at which a resolution for voluntary winding-up is to be proposed, and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act 1933, at the Chamber of Commerce Hall, Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, on Friday, the 23rd day of April 1954, at 2.30 o'clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company's affairs, together with a list of creditors and the estimated amounts of their claims, will be read before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

IN LIQUIDATION
NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to the Companies Act 1933, that a general meeting of the above company will be held at the offices of Ross, Meade, and Dowling, Municipal Buildings, Port Chalmers, on Thursday, the 20th day of May 1954, at 5 p.m., for the purpose of having laid before it the liquidator's account of the winding-up of the company and receiving any explanation thereof.

TE AWAMUTU BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance of the powers conferred on it by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and every other power it thereto enabling, the Te Awamutu Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order:
'That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the repayment of a loan of £6,000, being the Staff Housing Loan 1953, the Te Awamutu Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third of a penny (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Borough of Te Awamutu; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'
The common seal of the Te Awamutu Borough Council was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Council in the presence of:

HOME CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE (N.P.) LIMITED
NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS
NOTICE is hereby given that the company, by an entry in its minute-book on the 13th day of April 1954, passed an extraordinary resolution that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up and that the company be wound up voluntarily; and notice is hereby given that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to sections 234 and 300 (7) of the Companies Act 1933, at the Taranaki County Council Office, New Plymouth, on Thursday, 22nd day of April 1954, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company's affairs together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act may appoint a committee of inspection.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 222 of the Companies Act 1933 that on the 13th day of April 1954 the following special resolution was duly passed:
'Resolved as a special resolution that the company be wound up voluntarily and that Mr NORMAN H. RUSSELL, of Wellington, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.'
The office of the liquidator is situated at No. 35 Lower Taranaki Street in the City of Wellington.
Any creditors of the company are required on or before 13 May 1954 to send their names and addresses and particulars of their debts or claims to the liquidator at that address.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION INCREASING SPECIAL RATE
The Street and Footpath Improvements Loan 1953 of £110,000 IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and all other acts and powers in anyway it enabling, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:
'Whereas by resolution duly passed by the Wanganui City Council (hereinafter called 'the Council') on the 16th day of February 1954 the Council made and levied a special rate of 0.110 of a penny in the pound on the unimproved value of the whole of the City of Wanganui for the purpose of providing the interest and principal repayments on the sum of thirty thousand pounds (£30,000) being the first instalment of the above-mentioned loan; and whereas it is now found that the said special rate of 0.110 of a penny in the pound so made and levied as aforesaid will be insufficient to provide for such repayments as aforesaid: Now, therefore, in lieu of the said special rate of 0.110 of a penny in the pound the Council makes and levies a special rate of 0.218 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 12th day of August 1926, No. 53, at pages 2500 and 2501, for the purpose of securing repayment of principal and interest upon the said sum of thirty thousand pounds (£30,000) being the first instalment of the above-mentioned loan; and the several resolutions passed by the Council in connection with the above-mentioned loan shall be consequentially amended but otherwise shall remain in full force and effect.'
The common seal of the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wanganui was hereto affixed this 14th day of April 1954 by order of the Wanganui City Council by and in the presence of:
