Notice of Intention to Take Additional Land in Block IV.
Paritutu Survey District, for a Public School

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the
additional land described in the Schedule hereto for a public
school, and notice is hereby further given that the plan of
the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office
at Waitara and is there open for inspection; and that all
persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they
have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land,
set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within
forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the
Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land required to
be taken: 2 roods.
Being Section 94, Town of Lepperton.
Situated in Block IV, Paritutu Survey District (Taranaki
R.D.).
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 142897,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon edged red.
As witness my hand at Wellington, this 21st day of April
1954.

Transport Act 1949-Disallowance of By-law
PURSUANT to section 56 of the Transport Act 1949, the
Minister of Transport being of the opinion that the by-law
described in the Schedule hereunder in so far as it relates to
or affects any traffic is undesirable, hereby disallows the said
by-law and hereby declares that such disallowance shall take
effect on the day of the publication of this notice of dis-
allowance in the Gazette.

IT is hereby notified that the Board of Trade has examined
the objections lodged to the proposed exemption from im-
port licensing of the following item in the Import Licensing
Schedule and has decided to postpone consideration of de-
control until after a review of the appropriate tariff duties
takes place.

NEW ZEALAND—SECOND STEAMING LIGHT H.M.N.Z. WARSHIPS
MARINERS are advised that under Rule 13 (b) of the
International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at
Sea, Loch Class Frigates and Bird and Bathurst class
minesweepers will not be fitted with a second steaming light.
