Decisions of the Bureau of Industry Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936

P URSUANT to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936, the following decisions have been made in respect of applications for licences.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan

P URSUANT to the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 the following notice, received by the Minister of Finance from the Mayor, Tawa Flat Borough Council, is hereby published.

TAWA FLAT BOROUGH COUNCIL

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Loan

P URSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Tawa Flat, taken on the 6th day of March 1954, on the proposal of the Tawa Flat Borough Council to borrow the sum of two hundred and seventy thousand seven hundred pounds (£270,700) for the purpose of providing water and sewerage reticulation in the Borough of Tawa Flat:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 439. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 258. Informal votes, 2.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936 (Rakautatahi Development Scheme)

P URSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby revokes so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated 30 August 1937 and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 59 of 2 September 1937 at page 2107 whereby the provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936, were applied to, inter alia, the said land.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of land situated in Block I, Takapau Survey District, containing 31 acres 3 roods, more or less, and being all that part of the Rakautatahi 1F 1B No. 1 Block lying to the south of the public road as shown on Plan 1704, blue, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Napier.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936 (Rakautatahi Development Scheme)

P URSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby revokes so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated 30 August 1937 and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 59 of 2 September 1937 at page 2107 whereby the provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936, were applied to, inter alia, the said land.
