Varying a Notice Authorizing Officers to Attest Signatures
of Maoris to Instruments Under the Chattels Transfer
Act 1924
C. W. M. NORRIS, Governor-General
Pursuant to section 547 of the Maori Land Act 1931, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie,
the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby vary the
several notices published in the Gazette on the dates and at the
pages mentioned in the First Column of the Schedule hereto
authorizing certain officers in the service of the Crown to
attest the signatures of Maoris to instruments under the
Chattels Transfer Act 1924, by deleting therefrom the names
of the officers shown in the Second Column of the said
Schedule.

Pursuant to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air
Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General
has been pleased to approve the following appointments,
promotions, and transfers of officers of the Royal New
Zealand Air Force.

Appointment
Squadron Leader Cyril Laurence Siegert, D.F.C. (70105),
is granted a permanent commission with his present rank and
seniority. Dated 1 December 1953.

Flight Lieutenant Douglas Fleming Watson (70083) is
transferred from the General Duties Branch and is granted
a permanent commission with his present rank and with

Flight Lieutenant Kenneth Alfred Sidney Pipe, D.F.C.
(73657), is transferred from the General Duties Branch and
is granted a permanent commission with his present rank and

Appointment
Norman Lewis Sidney Bourchier, M.B., Ch.B. (77255),
is granted a commission for a period of four and a half years
with the rank of Flying Officer and with seniority as from
13 January 1952, to be followed by a period of four years on

Peter Elliot Hope (77257) is granted a short service
