Honorary Inspectors of Scenic Reserves Appointed

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Scenery Preservation Act
1908, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke
Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint
Harry Meadows,
Frederick Jordan Melhuish,
Francis Alexander Robinson, and
Robert Stewart Scott, all of Palmerston North,
Frank Walter Barnes, Auckland,
Cyril George Hayward, Lower Hutt,
Alexander Carter Graham, and
Peter Graham, both of Franz Josef Glacier,
Leslie Hamilton Kemp, Lake Kaniere, Westland,
John Craig Lorimer-Allan, Lake Paringa, Westland,
Thomas Nolan, Whataroa, Westland, and
Frederick William Wyatt, Harihari, Westland,
to be Honorary Inspectors under the said Act.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 20th day of March 1954.

WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act 1948 it is
enacted that the Governor-General may from time to
time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same
may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation
licence, any Crown land for any purpose which in his opinion
is desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be
published in the New Zealand Gazette:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the said Act,
I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie,
the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby reserve, subject
to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of
the Land Act 1948, the land in the North Auckland Land
District described in the Schedule hereunder written for
recreation purposes.

Titirangi Parish, situated in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey
District: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 11 perches, more or less.

enacted that the Governor-General may from time to
time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may

any Crown land for any purpose which in his opinion is
desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be
published in the New Zealand Gazette:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the said Act, I,
