Reference to Description: New Zealand Gazette No. 50 of 26 July 1945 at page 945 (excepting therefrom all that country to the north of a line starting at Lake Monowai, and thence down the south side of the Monowai River to the Waiau River, up the west side of the Waiau River to the boundary with the Southern Lakes Acclimatization District, as defined by a notice-board; thence along the boundary of the said acclimatization district to the main Te Anau–Mossburn Road where defined by a notice-board; thence along the said Te Anau–Mossburn Road to the Whitestone River; thence along the eastern bank of the Whitestone River to the northern corner of Lynwood cultivated land; and thence along the Lynwood fence to the Lynwood–Mararoa boundary fence; and thence along the said boundary fence to the north side of Mararoa cultivated land and down the fence on the eastern side of the cultivated land to the Prospect–Mararoa Road; and thence down the said road to the Mararoa Station: thence along the Mararoa Station–Mavora Road via the Chimneys Bridge to the junction with the old Te Anau–Mararoa Road; thence along the said road to the Oreti River; thence down the western side of the Oreti River to the site of the old accommodation-house in the Township of Centre Hill; thence in a straight line to the Township of Athol; thence in a straight line in a northerly direction to the junction of the Mataura River and Robert Creek).
