the Borough of Opunake

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and
declare that the public reserves described in the Schedule
hereto are hereby set apart for post-and-telegraph purposes;
and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect
on and after the 1st day of March 1954.

Approximate area of the public reserves set apart: 1 rood
7:34 perches.
Being Sections 11 and 13, Block XXXI, Town of Opunake.
Situated in the Borough of Opunake.
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 142367,

and thereon bordered red.

Consenting to the Raising of Portion (48,500) of the
Auckland City Council's Loan of £101,000 and Prescribing
the Conditions Thereof

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day
of February 1954
Present:
The Right Hon. K. J. Holyoake Presiding in Council
WHEREAS the Auckland City Council (hereinafter called
the said local authority), being desirous of raising a
loan of one hundred and one thousand pounds (£101,000) to
be known as 'Parnell Baths Improvement Loan 1952'
(hereinafter called the said loan) for the purpose of carrying
out improvements to the Parnell Baths and meeting the cost
of raising the loan, has complied with the provisions of the
Local Government Loans Board Act 1926 (hereinafter called
the said Act):
And whereas the said local authority is desirous of
raising in the first instance portion of the said loan amount-
ing to forty-eight thousand five hundred pounds (£48,500)
(hereinafter called the said sum), and it is expedient that
the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, as
required by the said Act, should be given to the raising of
the said sum;
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 11 of the said Act,
as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act 1932 (No. 2),
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of
the said sum for the said purpose up to the amount of forty-
eight thousand five hundred pounds (£48,500), and in giving
such consent hereby determines as follows:
- The term for which the said sum or any part thereof
may be raised shall be ten (10) years. - The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of
the said sum or any part thereof shall be such as shall not
produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding
four pounds (£4) per centum per annum. - The said sum or any part thereof shall be repaid by
the half-yearly redemption of debentures in the half-years
set out in the first column of the Schedule hereunder of the
amounts stated opposite each such half-year in the second
column of the said Schedule.

any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed three-
quarters per centum of any amount raised. - No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after
the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

WHEREAS the Thames Hospital Board (hereinafter called
the said local authority), being desirous of raising a
loan of sixteen thousand five hundred pounds (£16,500) to be
known as 'Paeroa Hospital Loan 1953' (hereinafter called
the said loan) for the purpose of erecting extensions to and
providing additional facilities and services at Paeroa Hospital,
has complied with the provisions of the Local Government
Loans Board Act 1926 (hereinafter called the said Act) and
