Additional Members of Domain Board Appointed
Pursuant to section 46 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to increase the total number of members of the Ngahere Domain Board, Westland Land District, from seven to nine, and to appoint Arthur Thomas Gibson and Alexander William Grenfell Maurice as the additional members thereby rendered necessary.

Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 2) 1954 Pursuant to regulation 15 of the Import Control Regulations 1938, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows: 1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 2) 1954. (2) This notice shall come into force on the 19th day of February 1954. 2. Goods of the class specified in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country other than the countries specified in the Second Schedule hereto, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations. FIRST SCHEDULE Tariff Item: Ex. 136 (7) (c). Class of Goods: Hosiery, viz.β€”Women's stockings, full length, fully fashioned or circular knitted, other than of silk, artificial silk, or nylon.

Portion of Bay of Islands Consolidation Scheme Confirmed (Part Series Dβ€”Ngaiotonga Subseries) Pursuant to subsection (6) of section 161 of the Maori Land Act 1931, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby confirms the part of the Whangaruru Series or Series D of the Bay of Islands Consolidation Scheme, now called the Ngaio-tonga Subseries of the said Consolidation Scheme. Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply: A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, to the persons described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize them while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
