PURSUANT to section 16 of the New Zealand Army Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, and resignations of officers of the New Zealand Army:
THE ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY
Regular Force
Lieutenant-Colonel H. E. Gilbert, D.S.O., O.B.E., relinquishes the appointment of Director of Plans and Intelligence, Army Headquarters, dated 7 February 1954, is posted for duty to Headquarters, Southern Military District, and is granted the acting rank of Brigadier, dated 8 February 1954.
The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) F. J. Evans lapses. Dated 31 December 1953.

Douglas Charles Higgins to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 10 October 1953.
Norman Kenneth Milne to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 17 October 1953.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) C. E. West is transferred to the Divisional Counter Bombardment Staff Troop, H.Q., R.A., N.Z. Division. Dated 14 December 1953.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) C. E. West, from the 1st Locating Battery, R.N.Z.A., to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 17 September 1948, retains the temporary rank of Captain, and is appointed D.C.B.O. Dated 14 December 1953.
